From a fellow grower: Is a 39"x48"x96" area with 600watt hps and intake and exhaust system’s with 440cfm fans adequate for growing?
I think so.

Yes, it is more than adequate, as long as you can properly exhaust it, preferably to the outside or attic or different room, getting the heat out of the room the tent is in would be best.

Would the exhaust system I have move the heat out? Or should I install one more. Also can I go from solo cups directly into 5gl pots?
Yeah a 400+ cfm exhaust fan will be just fine. Yes you can go from solo cup to 5 gal, just got to be careful with over-watering.

This is the setup I have set up. Trying quality rather than quantity! Been a few years so hope I haven’t forgot to much! Waiting on seeds.
Worst case is it gets too hot (>85F) and you can solve that with an air-cooled hood.
The Mosquito Bits works great for fungus gnats.
