Ive reache the point in the grow that i dread the most… autopilot! Its dialed in perfect, all im doin is feedin and waterin. Buds look great and noooooo issues. Clones rooted and in solos, coasting. Its boring! Anyone else feel this way?
A boring grow is a good grow.
Agreed 100%
I don’t seem to have many of these, unfortunately
Me either, but I have boring weeks at a time and enjoy them. It’s great when I can just go look at and admire the girls.
That’s exactly where I’m at now. I’m enjoying it not gonna lie. The last grow was a deficiency laden stress monster.
I hear ya. Seems like I am always chasing pH, PPMs, or a slight deficiency or excess.
I get these boring times as well. Then I get the fear that I’m missing something. Thought it was just me
Love it
I’m serious. I had no clue what I was doing and everyday it was something new. I dreaded to open the tent everyday. This grow is night and day.
Pretty much, my autopots let me enter the tent once a day to check on them and fill. The humidifiers, mix chems /fill Res once a week.
In full flower so lights are max and plants stop growing but you need to defoilate twice in the flower stage… And prep to drop new seeds…
Veg is where the work is I find.
I took a partial harvest from my flowering girls last Friday. A little over half is still remaining. It’s great. All I have to do is add a couple gallons of RO every few days. No pH, no PPM. It doesn’t matter at this point.
My veg girls are in FFHF and are about due for introducing nutes (last PPM = 1300.) I’ll have my OCD stimulated again monitoring pH and PPM. I expect I’ll be under 1000 on the next watering.
I feel like I’m always on autopilot, no issues, no drama, just keep doing what I’ve been doing for so many grows. Only excitement was swapping out my lights to HLGs and wondering if my yields will get bigger (not that I need any more yield LOL) or if my 10 week usual flowering clones will finish faster under the 550 r spec, that would be nice, I guess.
I’ll get there with some more experience. It may take a while though. I’ve got seedlings that just popped. Once those are done I’m going to take a tent down and throttle my growing. I’ll have more weed than I know what to do with at that point.
I’m at the defoliate stage. It’s at this point I end up with loads of clones because I can’t throw them out. I have 5 seeds, 4 of which are doing well. AK47 and purple wreck, both are doing great and showing preflowers. Northern lights auto that’s in her final weeks. 7 purple bud clones that are heading into preflower. One 710 genetics seedling that I can’t remember the name of. All that in one tent and I need to switch to 12/12 soon as well . Lawdy I’m gonna be in trouble soon
I’ve been going into my grow room several times a day now with nothing more to do than look at the plants. Not that I want anything to go wrong, but agree…
I hope I recognize it if IT ever happens. What are the chances of that happening?
I will say when things are are on autopilot it is alot better than when I have minium an hour to four hours a day. Msot of the work comes post grow and after the first bit.
I remember my grows early on and even my last grow that was soil in autopots and its alot of work.
If I was retired I would love having plants even more because it would give me something to do every day that is rewarding, right beside my real garden.
That being said I don’t think I’ll ever grow plants without autopots unless I can drop them outdoors in a large soil pot on my deck and just check on em here and there.
I agree that harvest and cure are where the labor is at for sure.
I get soooo paranoid when things go this smoothly. Always worried about what i aint seeing. Always thinking about whats missing. What can go wrong. Maybe with being off work 6 months and being able to focus all the time i need on the grow its just how the grows are gonna be fir awhile. I sure hope so cause this is shaping up to be a spectacular one. Im gonna journal nex grow i think.
You’ll get lots of help and learn a whole lot too.
