Hahaha. Maybe. I also want to compare results and may as well try them on free plants. I’ll use the nectar for my personal stuff or for that strain I just have to grow. I do love their stuff though And once you get in the groove of using it it’s pretty easy.
I’ll probably be taking more clones off the clones once my current girls are done flowering.
Im seriously hoping my diesel clone takes. She will be my first successful clone n so far she looks just as healthy as before i cropped her off. Plus id have unlimited diesel access
How long ago did you take it
Hahahaha. 2 whole days ago
I respect your dedication to a classic strain!
Actually… its Red Dies. Cali orange x dies. But im all in on anything that saves cash
I use GH trio plus calmag growing in coco. Don’t think I’ll ever do soil. It doesn’t get any easier… well, I don’t think, but then again who am I to say!!
Haha wait til this time next year when all us ‘medium growers’ who were new this year graduate to rdwc. Its gon be a serious revolution then
@Andrewsantos97
In regards to removing the current soil. This depends if you’re having ph issues with it, or isn’t supportive to your growing. You’re going to add additional nutrients anyways.
So removing the soil from the root ball may or may not benefit you in anyway. Other than slow growth down. The plant will stall shortly after transplant to make more root growth. You may need to extend the veg time longer than planned especially if it was root bound in its current container.
You should follow you’re nutrients schedule, but the basic schedule is more nitrogen. In veg, then still some nitrogen, with bloom nutrients for the stretch period, then followed by almost no nitrogen at all and mostly phosphorus and potassium. (PK)
I know I’m late, but thought you might need some clarification.
The pH was off but i also believe it just didnt have the right nutrients needed to support the growth of the plant at all. I already transplanted it into the fox farm and although it took me a very long time, i was able to remove a hefty amount of the old soil while keeping the roots as intact as i possibly could! thanks so much for the clarification, i will continue to monitor the pH and see the color of the leaves but after adjusting the pH the leaves grew into a very nice dark green color (as opposed to the older leaves i plucked off in original pic). I am still having some burn marks on the ends of the tips and small curling even on some new leaves and i read it may be because my plants arent getting enough oxygen possibly from over watering. i never really know how much to put and just wait for it to start draining out. I was going to possibly add some perlite to the fox farm soil and try to maybe make holes at the bottom of my pot
When I posted I wasn’t sure how big she was. @Andrewsantos97 plenty of recovery time before flowering.
With the new FFOF soil, she should really start to grow a healthy green. I wouldn’t add any more nutrients right now, that’s a very nutrient rich soil. When she gets about 12-15” in height you should start to consider adding nutrients.
Will do! yeah i know @Familyman recommended it and after looking it up i saw it was a great soil and nutrient rich. wish i would have known about this forum before planting originally lol. but ordered some new seeds now that i am better versed in some growing techniques! any advice on how to work on the over watering problem and the burnt tips + curling? I am going to most definitely start watering less every time i do water as i figured i was putting too much before.
@Andrewsantos97 The burnt tips will never recover. Just look for new growth.
As far as watering goes, just water thoroughly but not too much. Water away from the stem, in a circle, to encourage root development and to prevent stem rot. (Obviously that’s bad)
I can’t give you a designated volume amount because environmental conditions vary.
I would check the weight of the container she’s in, before watering and after. As long as she gained a little weight she’s probably fine.
Keep an eye on the leaves, when they get wrinkly and wilty she’s requesting water.
When the leaves are plump and wilty she’s over watered. (Which I’m sure you’re aware of what that looks like)
You won’t do any harm waiting for her to get wilty to water, then you’ll know for sure when to water. This only encourages root development, they’ll start seeking water to the very edges of the container.
Over love is the fastest way to kill them. If left alone you’d be surprised what they can do with out you watching their every inch.
Solid advice. I tend to over tend my plants too.
yeah its crazy how bad i feel and water just because 2-3 days has passed and i dont even check to see if it truly might need it. I will def make sure to pay more attention to how much im giving her and will make sure to start watering around edges and in much smaller amounts. Hopefully the burnt tips wont affect her too much. Thanks guys!
Hey, sorry I’m a little late. I’m still playing around with nutes myself. @dbrn32 suggested I have a 3 part nute regime so I did a little digging and found this to be sound advice
I agree with @raustin and use your base nutes

Also… those ‘taco’ leaves are a sign out environmental (light or heat) stress. What kind and how far are your lights? And what is the temperature lookin like?
O congrats on the successful transplant
I actually realized in the previous post i put that i have the SYGAVLED 300W LED grow light but i acutally have the 600W LED grow light. i thought thats what i had posted but just realized i put the wrong lights. i havent been able to purchase the hlg lights yet. I had put them much closer to my plant (approx 16 in) since i was told they were much weaker lights but i now have them at almost 21 in because i felt it was too close. i did notice that the temp was consistently mid 80s (around 85-86 Fahrenheit) so i figured that this was the reason why they were “tacoed” even after moving them they are still like that and the temp is around 82 right now. should i look to lower the temp further?
And its all thanks to you for the tips on gently removing the soil from the root ball!
Nah. I just gove advice. Its on the grower to take it or leave it n actually get it done.
On the lighting yes 18-24 inchs is usually mandatory for blurple. They run more heat at too close. Good catch n save there. Even tho the hlg are multitudes more intense. They have cooler run temps n im sure more sciency reasons they can run closer. Keep that blurple at the recommended height in the instructions
