Missed an update here from a few days ago because I also post on Emily Kyle:
Things are going ok but the new pot i put in there had contaminated soil so now I have flying insects everywhere. I’ve sprayed pyrethrum again gave them a small fertiliser top up and I’ll leave it for day. Super annoyed, it’s the first major fuck up I’ve had. Anyway I removed the pot I’ll get rid or it and use new stuff. Hopefully I’ve caught it before it’s a problem. Have 3 more seedlings coming up, 2 are going outside and one into the pot inside. These new ones have thick strong stems already so one of those will be coming in.
This is today’s update:
So I fixed the pot with good soil and transferred one of the strong seedlings to the grow pot (inside a peat pot) . Babies look a little sad today, drooped leaves slightly and definitely took the hit from the bugs and pyrethrum and maybe a bit too much water, it’s cooled here now so I’m just going to leave them with the open door and fan today while leaving the reflective board, should moderate the humidity well. Had reasonable rain , no leaks, but also prepped the bottoms sheet with reflective and raised, just in case. Looks like the plants got bitten a bit , some yellow marks. I’m about a week early but I started prepping for flower stage and made sure it’s totally dark . I had a tiny bit of light on there so hopefully the overnight results improve as well.
After a few days of drama, I’ve remedied the fungus gnats, I hadn’t been over watering so was easy to sort out. Back on track.
Can anyone pick the strains yet?
No water at all yesterday. Did some homework and forgot the vermiculite factor, hold more nutrient but also more water so watering needs to be even less again , it always looks really dry on top though which is why I Overwater I think but when I put the Neem on I had to drench it , almost a flush so it took that hard , did a light watering with a smaller bottle for ease of access this morning. I’ll leave them alone till tomorrow now. Still need to keep on top of those bastard gnats but only getting one or 2 and I’m aerating the top soil with my fingers daily. I’m going to superprune eventually, I think I’ll let them veg for another week and see where we are at, just need them to be around the same size. I’m going to get some stakes today to give them some support. I tried the shelf insert but it will make it to hard to move them, water them, because of space etc. My plan from here is give 1 more month of veg to get them to fill out a bit better keeping them superpruned or topped? to keep them all around the same size, then I’m going to switch to flowering. The little one will come outside I think, all my growth rates are a bit too different but that one’s miles out. I’m open to suggestions on this but I’m limited to space.
Getting better, I checked the moisture at a hands depth and it’s very wet. Some early issues with water were probably because of the peat pots , I love using these but next time I’ll put some small holes on to give the roots a headstart on the soil.
X I liked your idea so much I made up proper bases out of a moving box and taped them properly. Excellent idea mate, works really well, I’m getting 1000 lumens at the canopy on each now .
Did a nute water today, no water yesterday did the knuckle test and the hygrometer test and it was dry at roots so I used some thrive and put 500ml on between the 3 at a veg stage content.
They are looking better I have to admit , it hasn’t been easy. They might be a weed but you can truly love something to death. 1 or 2 Nat’s still but sticky cards are doing the job, I don’t really want to use the Neem again, the plants really took that hard. Started rotating the plants on the grow daily and did some trimming of the sick leaves. Other than that I’m just going to leave them alone for the next couple of days .
Unfortunately going to have to discontinue my wild grow plans. Recent life changes makes it more difficult for me to attend regularly. But this is my test for that, I’ll put it in this thread just as an outdoor. Looking really healthy, probably because I haven’t done anything to it lol.
Bit of water, bit of smooth talk and leave them alone, they’re recovering and they are powering along, all females from what I can tell.
