A few random questions

  1. Does anyone make a cooler for LED lights (like the SF 4000). LEDs aren’t hot but the controllers put out some serious heat.

  2. If using Jacks 3-2-1 nutes in hydro, is it still necessary to supplement with Cal-Mag?

  3. Swamp coolers are a great alternative to A/C as they provide badly needed humidity (here in hot AF central AZ). But eventually they create too much humidity in the room which renders them ineffective. I’ve tried a dehumidifier but they put out quite a bit of heat, which is what I’m trying to get rid of. I’m pumping cool dry air into the grow room from the adjacent room, and I’m running the exhaust constantly, but it isn’t enough.

1 yea its called having a strong intake and or exhaust ducting style fan then it depends on your lung room

2 not really at least until flower coco needs cal mag since coconuts are heavy in potassium in their shells

Hi there. Can you put the driver on outside of tent? I cant remember if you can take these apart or not.
i have window ac, fan attached, dehumidifier and humidifier in lung room. i keep one side of tent half open. The other tent has fans and a couple fans exhausting air out. negative pressure is good.

@beachglass Sorry to interrupt but I was reading your response and see that you run a dehumidifier. Im using a spare bedroom about 130 square feet, running 2 fans, and a window AC unit. Thought the AC unit would take care of my humidity since it is a 3-1. But I still can’t figure out how to get my humidity below 65? Do you know of any good dehumidifiers that would work? I just entered flower so I’d like to get my humidity down to 40-50 in the next few weeks. Thanks!

The mars hydro bar style lights have longer cables allowing for the driver to be placed outside the tent. With an AC in the lung room I keep a lower port open & exhaust on med/high I am able to run my FC4800 @ 480w keeping temps around 76F.

Hi there @Tdevine I have a GE small room dehumidifier in lung room. I have the heat part facing towards veg tent.

I keep the Meanwell drivers on top of my tent with aluminum heat sink. And since I am controlling the Room temperature, I keep my tent door wide open. No heat issues whatsoever and no problems with males and Hermies. Loads of light leaks. :+1::+1::+1:
