I hear ya. Fighting to keep mine below 90. Hard when 85 something in house anyway.
Ya my heat problem comes from the attic.my house was built in the 50âs and the attic vents into the utility room on the back of the house which is where my plants are. Ontop of that the hot water heater is in there also and the entry door to this 4âĂ4âĂ9â closet opens to the outside with heat index of 106° and 70% humidity âŚya my plants are in hell.im contemplating tryin to convert the storage building out back but i would have to run power SAFELY out there and that is money i dont have
Hell ya All my plants survived my mistreatment of repotting, 1st time FIM and water i didnt PH on accident (medicated lol)
the pest control on the plants looks like crap but i have alot of bugs fly in when i open the door so i have to deal with it

I like that hanging socket thing. I took my CFL out cause the cramped quarters was making the reflector make a clicky noise from static next to led. Wasnât using it yet but had it placed.
@Jheezy @kushpa ya i just topped her 2 days ago. One of the other phto PinHaz got topped a week ago. Ya that light (âsocket thingy â) says its an LED .got it at home depot for 20.00 before my Mars Hydros came in. If you look up near the beginning of this journal i have a pic of the box and adapter it comes with that allows you to either an HID fixtur or a standard home type light socket.â.thingyâ lol just ribbin ya:grin:

Bummer about mine. Static poppin action on my CFL. Oh well led prob enough for one auto. Gonna try to train for nice colas and not worry about low buds. Not sure what was my point here
Iâm no electrician, but any light fixture that is having any type of issues like that, Iâd trash. No cheap light is worth a housefire. Iâve lived through that, had a florescent light strip on top of a 175gal aquarium catch fire and ruin everything I owned. Throw it out!

@ktreez420 @Majiktoker i wanted to put some rocks ontop of the soil in each pot for the reason that when i water it erodes a big hole in the soil so i figure put ricks on top to break the water torrent coming down. I was thinking if i ise the common white marble floor bed rock that it would work plus maybe reflect the light back up and possibly look cool also. I went to pirchase it and thought that there might be a possibility the rocks might bleed off bad salts or chemicals that could effect the plants. What is your input please
I would probably recommend just using sand @4play. It will help with water erosion, and prevent gnats as well. That or hydroton.
Maybe i will go with sand if it helps control gnats

Ok so here are my questions ,sorry its alot to read .what i did was buy a bunch of stuff that i heard most mentioned and now im not sure how to use them, especially when your combining different nutes. So im thinking i might have 2 product lines and what i might have mistakinly done is buy the same type of nutes only in 2 different brands. Here is a pic of what i have-
the small bags are, ChaChing,Beastie Bloomz and Open Sesame.
What i used today was-
White Widow Auto
Week 2 in Flower
Mass booster 1 fl oz per 2.5 gal
Tiger Bloomz 4 tsp per. 2.5 gal
Ppm 1200. (Previous feeding was ppm790 with grow booster) so i added water and got it down to 900 ppm

2 fl oz of grow booster per 1 gal
Checked PPm and it was over 1200,so i added water and checked it and it said 820 ppm so i used it. I rechecked what was left of the solution and it was over a 1000 so i dont know if my meter screwed me so i dumped a gallon of distilled water into the 2 photos to try and flushbor dilute the mix.So i ask what SHOULD i be using? I have heard at each feeding to increase ppm 200 each time, so i add what i think is the right priduct, read the schedule and reduce the amount suggested,check ppm and then if that number isnt as high as it should be then i add the next thing i think im supposed to use until i reach ppm im aiming for,if the number is to high i add water and check again.Is this the right process? Also i bought Cal mag because i figure its better to have it on hand when the problem comes up. I have never used it and not sure when to. Some of my plants have really pink leaf stems that stand out. Is that a problem ?

Im germing some new seeds and i noticed when i transplanted the plants im already growing that my roots were very weak.So i wanna improve on that. I do have grow booster ILGM but not sure if that is safe to use in the soil for new sprouts? Thanks man ,YOUR AWESOME

Ok, so first off with rooting, I wouldnât advise any nutriemts, is recommend a shot glass in a spot that is 85 degrees, change the water within exactly 24 hours of putting seed in and they will be garunteed to crack a root, than itâs time to plant. Plant root down on a spot with 90-100% humidity and 80 degrees. Within 3-5 days youâll have a sprout.
As for your nutrients that seems a little high for the water, how big are your plants and, that will determine my answer on your ppm and nutrients, you should use cal mag every time you feed the one that your feeding the 1ml per 2.5 gallons seems right the other one id decrease down to 2ML per gallon
Oh ok i thought i hear people soaking the soil 24 hours before adding the seed with a root stimulator such as Kanga roota or Tarantula juice or something, maybe thise are for hydro.i know the bigger the roots the bigger the yeild so thats where i was aiming to improve from the tiny spider web roots i saw before. The plants in flower are autos and one is 14" and maybe 8" laterally. The larger auto is about 2 feet tall and about basketball size in circumference. Plants are about 6 weeks old. I started them at 500 ppm and increased it approx 150-200 per feeding. Been feeding since about 3rd week and once a week with plain PH water between 6.2-6.8 (made it a lil high when my r.o started testing in the 4.5 range. Added lime and now i ph low 6âs
So my wife says So this is what crazy looks like huh lol but thats half the reason i bought these glasses was to bug her lol i thought i could use them to check trichomes but i dont think they are powerful enough lol still cool for 5.oo bucks

Maybe some do start seeds that way, just wouldnât advise it, maybe a slight listing or splash of water once planted
OooOH i was going by the seed banks instructions and trying to also follow your instruction listed above,i already had them it the Styrofoam cups before u replied I left them in distilled water for about 16 hours until they sunk and opened slightly. Then i took them out and put them in slightly moist bleached unscented paper towels.lightly wrapped in the paper towel so it could breathe. Then i placed them in a cabinet above the fridge that doesnt get opened and placed a lil box over the top of the cups. I check them a couple times a day to make sure they arent dry. They have been in the damp paper towels a lil under 24 hours. Once i see the tap root i will place them in a small pot with a layer of mg seedling starter at top,middle Happy Frog,bottom Ocean Forrest
