Thank you for the appreciation! I didn’t have any more likes, so I wanted you to know.
I won’t fault you for using whatever nutrient you feel comfortable with. I started my growing with it and used it all the way through last year.
It was a personal choice based on some reading I did that changed my mind on using it. This year is my first time using Foxfarms and I’m just now getting to the point of needing them.
I’ve done some light reading on FF, and am very interested in using some, however I still have like a gallon+ of this MG, and im not one to waste supplies. I think Ican go through 5+ grows until i run out, but I will probably start transitioning to both FF and indoor by the next year or so. I can say that letting nature do most of the work 4 u is great, but maybe its time to start thinking of self sufficiency, then again, there is the issue of my power bill… choices, choices, choices…
RN, im using a mix of regular potting soil and composted mango & leaves, my plant seems to love the soil, however it might be slightly dense, i meant to get some perlite to spread it out a lil, but was too eager to start. im still in the processes of getting my meters, I need to start an amazon account 1st, the local nursery & wally world no longer meets my needs, unless i want to measure my PH with slip of colored paper and a key. Thanx for the input @bob31
I used to have a bag of perlite somewhere, i think i lost it in the move. I’ll see if I can find a hydroponics shop in the area, it is FL so i can’t imagine there not being one
The store in my area is so small its only three rows, but they are jammed and have everything. Its nice that I can run in there and get 99% of what I need very quickly. I wouldn’t buy a tent or lights or anything from them but just about everything else.
True Value or Ace hardware should have perlite too. Doubt they’d have the meters, but maybe. My local true value has a ton of different soils, perlite all sorts of stuff.
Sorry for the late reply guys, I had to get a new phone, my other one got fried by my bathtub Well, in this last 2 weeks some… unfortunate stuff happened. For one, I was a lil late on putting a cover on my pot, and my plant fried a tiny bit, however it recovered. Now for the worst part, my plan to start my seedling early to figure out its sex worked, and I ended up with this:
