My veg tent has been filled to the max and I had a few clones I didn’t wanna get rid of. I’m in the south eastern part of the USA and heard it’s the best time to grow outdoors. I tried last season and was plagued by insects, but this time I got some neem oil spray I plan on using once a week. My concern this time is that it’s gonna be raining here for like 3 days straight and I don’t know if I should shelter my plants when it starts. It’s still been dropping below 60 F at night time and it’s been real breezy out as well.
I’m in the northeast I plant mine in ground the temperature is not a problem insects are always a problem neem oil can be used up until flower after that I use captain jacks and safer caterpillar. As far as the rain goes you can shelter them I personally don’t lm to lazy for that just let them go and I get what I get
Appreciate the feedback! Felt bad for these plants cause of how windy it’s been and now about to get hit with a ton of rain lol
I look for over 50 at night before putting mine out. North east here on the coast.
3 and 4 ft stakes work well for when they first go out. I put one in the pot and tie off to it right from the start.
I’ll add more stakes later ( 6 ft ) around the outside of the pots , 30 gal , Depending on plant size to kind of do a cage / support set up as they grow.
Tomato cages work well too as @Derf02368 mentioned.
If mine are still a bit small I’ll use 5 gal water bottles with bottoms cut out , to cover them till the rain stops or at night if it’s going to be colder.
Best of luck with the upcoming season.
