I have a small heater in there and a thermostat/ hydrometer controller that keeps the temp at 60-65 at night and the humidity at 60-65%
Have you ever sweat your buds before you put them in jars? I’m thinking after the hang dry. Then sweat them then grove bags? It’s supposed to remove that inner moisture. They use paper bags also heard of plastic bags? Idk
I think if you need to sweat them to remove inner moisture then it is drying too fast and the outsides of the buds are getting too dry while the insides are not getting dry enough. I leave all but the big fan leaves on while drying but I don’t go by how dry the outside of the buds are before I take them down. I go by the squish test. If they feel right I trim a little and put it in a jar with an hydrometer and check. If it’s too dry I add some fresh leaves or bud. If it’s too moist I’ll let it dry some more. I’ve got a moisture meter coming so I can be more accurate when using grove bags.
Found another caterpillar on the same cola as last time had to cut out about 2in of the middle of it
It’s raining in Prescott
I didn’t think we’d get anything and then we had a nice downpour, briefly. Probably not too nice for your plants, though. Wow, thunder right now.
I got some rain not enough to do damage. Just did a little shaking and put in an extra fan. They should be fine. I had most big buds, which is alot, tied up.
I also ordered a moisture meter to try and get it right the first time in the grove bags.
Didn’t rain at the house but I’ve got everything covered just in case
Just found 3 more caterpillars and had to cut out some buds two of them were on the same two colas that I already clipped buds off of and found caterpillars yesterday or the day before. I just fogged the entire greenhouse with BT I drenched the AceKillerOG. All the caterpillars were found on her. They’re easy to spot because the nearby leaves turn yellow and die a certain way that tells me to dig deep into the bud at that spot.
Yeah, sorry! We are in the middle of the line of storms that’s coming from the SW. For us, it’s a reprieve from the hot temps we’ve been having and good for the landscaping. I hope that any problems will be prevented by your recent treatments.
It’s hard to read my rain gauge from the house, but we’ve had at least an inch of rain. It’s coming down hard, with more to come.
Ya man we got wet. Your plants don’t get wet do they? As long as the sun is shining in the morning I’ll be ok. Shoot they’ll probably get bigger.
Micro burst blew the door of the big greenhouse. I would say we got at least an inch. Some plants got a little wet but I shook them pretty good and put the door back on then closed it partway. The 5x10 top cover came loose a little but stayed on. Nothing a little gorilla tape can’t fix. I leave the gate to it open all the time for airflow. Some of the colas next to the door got drenched so I shook them too.
I’m gonna have to put a bunch more wires up tomorrow
Glad that the storm didn’t cause too much damage with your greenhouse and plants.
My rain gauge measured 1.90" of rain!
The power strip that I have all the fans plugged into got wet and tripped the GFI sometime during the night. Luckily I have another one.
Woke up this morning with my bad knee absolutely killing me but I had to go out and fix all the damage from the storm. I just spent 2hr hanging wire and defoliating. Removed some lower and inner branches on Black Widow #1 and LA CONFIDENTIAL #1. Tied up a bunch or colas on both.
Found 2 more caterpillars on the AceKillerOG and found a moth laying eggs on the Black Widow. AceKillerOG was leaning badly I had to straighten her out. Now I’m sitting on the couch with my knee iced up and stoned as hell watching football
Dried in your drying room?
