2000w koscheal lights

I have 2x2000 koscheal lights in a 4x8 tent.Very short on directions. I am trying to find out if I should be using the veg switch only or both veg and bloom during veg stage? And what effect if I also add straight yellow led bars in the same area? Does it screw up the spectrum or is it a good thing?

I would use both switches on with this light, what color spectrum are the yellow led bars?.

Hi the worst thing the added LED could do is waste a little power or heat. Wont hurt spectrum. I got a cheap grow light and use both veg and bloom together. Kinda need to becauae the light isnt great.
Curious what color temp the yellow is. Do they say 3000k on them? I added non-gardening lights for supplemental and they for sure helped. 2700k and 5000k.

Just to clarify, the model is a 2000, but it’s not 2000w(atts) of power.
Their site lists the veg channel at 126w, and the bloom at 113w = 239w total.
So 239w x2 (478w) of lighting in a 4x8 (32sq’) tent is around 15w per sq’.
So yeah, definitely run both switches on.
And to effectively grow in the whole tent, it should be basically double that.

Great info…Tks. The light bars are t8 24w led full spectrum sunlight replacement…their description…the growth is not bad but I will try both switch on. I was concerned they might flower if I used both…not ready quite yet.

Keep in mind that besides a tent and lights, we know nothing of your plants, so lighting chat is based pretty much on a full blown grow. It can all be dialed back a bit if you have seedlings or young plants for example.

Oh, and spectrum can’t induce flowering, only enough hours of uninterrupted darkness (photoperiods) or genetics (autoflowers).

Any pics of your setup so people can help better guide you

My Vipar Spectra V1200 ran both veg/bloom total 535 watts, metered.
My HLG 350 runs 330 watts, metered.
Both LED lighting set at at 25 inches provide 50KLUX measured lighting, However, only when the HLG is set at 200 watts, or position #5., not full 330 watts draw.

Sure…use one to start add the second a bit later and don’t forget to change to “bloom” when you want to mature the plants.
