1st timer; think i'm ready to flip to flower but want to make sure not too soon

I would say we are way more tolerant then other sites. We understand that the new grower will have a lot of questions. So instead of belittling them we answer the same questions over and over for each new grower that comes to this site.

Thats def it. But even in the situations when people dont agree. Ultimately the folks here are pretty good at agreeing to disagree

here i am again… with more questions. lol. good morning again  i have a green crack seed purchased from this site that i planted on 7-10. i noticed it poking through the dirt 2 days ago but it’s still looking almost the same as it was 2 days ago. i just want to make sure it’s still doing okay. i had a some kind of critter chewing on some seedlings i have going for my flower bed a few days before it was planted but i haven’t seen any new damage since treating them all with neem oil. all my bag seeds germinated in 3 days time and by this point were starting to form true leaves so i’m just wondering if this one is just a slow developer or if it’s sick or something. if i pry it open a little it’s green on the inside and i can see tiny true leaves coming in. the stem is strudy and strong for the little bitty ol thing that it is but it just won’t straighten out

I have a few start like that sometimes. And always have seedling murdering insects when under a week old and outside. Try putting her under a cfl light (6-15w will dp fine) and let her have 20-24 hours. As long as the roots aren’t compromised, she’ll spread her arms and grow just fine.

PS: dont try to check roots. Ull damage her, let her grow

ok sweet. i wasn’t going to check the roots… but i was tempted lol especially if she stayed the same tomorrow. but she seems to be real sturdy in the dirt. and ok i have a clamp light that i can use to keep a spotlight on 24hrs.

Only reason i said so is because it is very tempting! Lol i have the same issue with not unburying slow starting seeds. End uplosing it in the dirt :joy:

Some of us have fished out seeds to see if they cracked and have started to grow LOL

hey again folks  this is a question about the plant i posted about 20days asking if she was going into flower; she never stopped making her buds so i’ve counted her in flower for 22 days now and it looks like some of the bigger fan leaves are starting to yellow. they did have some damage on them in veg when my fan fell on them but they only just stared to turn yellow like yesterday-ish. the tops are still bright and pretty i just wanted to see if it was normal to have big fan leaves start to yellow just 3 weeks into flower. i took pics but i don’t have the bright white light in my tent anymore so it’s kinda hard to see the ones i mean.

thanks in advance!

Try to get a photo in regular light. Helps a ton with diagnosis.

Btw how old from seed and how big are ur pots?

i have to get a full spectrum white light for my tent, my plants seem to love the light i have but i miss being able to see them in normal light. but i think she was just ready for those fan leaves to fall, they must have been blocking light to the lower leaves. i haven’t had any more turn yellow and die off so i think the plant just was letting me know those big big fan leaves were in the way. i started both of my 2 in flower on Cinco de Mayo lol. they’re looking good and healthy now. the first is going into week 5 of flower the buds are already about 2inches thick and the second bushy plant is just starting week 3. for my very first plants ever i’m SUPER excited about how good my buds are looking!! these are in 10 gallon pots this time. the 2 that ended up being male were in 15 gallon pots.

They look great! N best way to get natural light pics… is to catch them just before lights on or after lights out. N use ur camera flash

Looking good

I see you pamper them lol they do look good

lol! thanks i use that for the little ones but yes they are definitely pampered like babies

ok, i’m back again my friends  lol I am on day 60 of flower for one of my girls and i’m just curious when is y’all’s favorite time to chop your plants? I figured I’d wait until I at least see a few amber tricomes and then cut a couple days after and I’m not seeing any at all now but they are looking just about all cloudy. She has some orange hairs now but i’ve seen people say everything from chop with 50% orange to 80% orange so i’m just gonna stick with the tricomes but she looks so pretty and smells like skittles i am just like soo super excited to harvest so i want to rush it but i want her to smoke as good as she looks and smells and feels(shes CRAZY sticky!!) so i’m trying to wait until the best moment and it seems like most agree that SOME amber is good. but i want yalls opinions!

@PurpNGold74 @Rayofsunshine all input is appreciated! I’m proud of my first baby girl but i’ll take all critiques

Chopping your girls is always a great time. It’s also the most personal time for a grow what high do you want from your plants. If you want a more relaxed body sleepy time buds let them really Amber out and create cbn (the sleepy compound) if you want a more uplifted high pull them at cloudy it’s the peak of thc in them. They look great good job now as Jay z said “on to the next one”

As stated above… Harvest time is almost always STRICTLY PREFERENTIAL.

I perfer some sleepy meds… always have a couple diff strains going, so if specifically for wake and bake, I may chop a under 10% amber… but majority of the time im going for at least 30-40% amber… Need that couch arrest in my life.

Also I prefer to chop them down JUST before lights on time… maybe an hr or two before they expect 'sunrise"

Those are some excellent looking buds, well done and happy harvesting.

You may have already chopped by now but they sure are impressive to look at.
