1st time NLAF Grow

This is really dope! I mean I’ve planted cannibus before just never serious ya know. Comp a bag, find some seeds, throw em out somewhere to grow. Ut I’m taking this serious now I want to eventually become a professional grower.

this is what I’m working with goin a day or so into 2nd wk of flower.

Some nice nugs developing. Might be too late into flowering, but that main cola may hog all the light. Not sure if you want to try and bend her over a little to try and even the canopy a bit. On second thought, at this stage, probably just let her ride.

Continued success.

Thanks ! I appreciate the encouragement. What kinda grow you got going?

Had a quick question for ya. When would it be okay to defoliate to focus more on light getting to bud sites? I’m curious if it’s even possible since it’s an auto.

Mixed info on the topic. Many successful growers defoliate to some degree. Go from the bottom, find bud sites, and take leaves from above those. Take a little at a time and not consecutive days. I tend to take from 6-10 every coupe of days till I’m happy with it.

You are also pruning for better air flow although yours doesn’t look overly thick. If you can, you can tuck leaves instead of cutting. Less stress on the plant. I tuck more early on, and prune later.

Thanks! Getting rdy to defoliate tonight, “lightly.” As you said.

How did the trimming come along?

Honestly I’ve bn working so much I haven’t accomplished it yet. I don’t even know where to begin to chop.

and this pic here is GMO bn in veg for almost 2mnths. I overwatered her when she was a seedling, transplanted her twice(last transplant was into FFOF). Now she’s burley, and I can’t believe he many budsites are on her. But any advice on the NLA would be appreciated :innocent: I just feel like the buds should be fatter.

Sorry, didn’t upload the pic of GMO here she is.

The plant looks like it doesn’t need much of a trimming. If you don’t have to, better to leave her to do her thing.

You could cut away any of the yellowing leaves as they are almost done giving what nutes they had. If the large fan leaves are in the way of a bud site or preventing good air flow, cut it. Otherwise leave it.

The GMO is looking like it will be a best! I might like to open her up a bit more by tying down the outer branches to get better light penetration to those inner sites. You will be the best to judge her.

Continued success.

Your lights are going to be the best driving force behind the quality of buds. That said, they have some time to go and will put on weight. It will happen gradually and you may not even notice until one day you’re like, “Dang, those are looking nice!” :upside_down_face: :+1:

Awesome, I took off about 10 leaves I’m going to give it a few days before I look at her again. I agree with you about defoliation there are bud sites they’re not getting the proper light that they need so I’m going to do the tucking technique as you speak of.

Understood :relieved:…I’m going to work on the GMO in a few days. Thanks for the insight!

So I have a quick  Is there a reason the humidity in my grow tent would be below 30°?

I have 2 LCD temperature gizmos. One on the floor of my tent and one on the grow light. Is there something wrong inside my grow space, it’s environment? Should I put one outside the tent to guage the temperature outside and see what the fluctuation is? I read about wet towels or rags hanging in the tent to bring up the humidity. Since i turned on the bloom switch w/veg it bn kinda hot inside the grow space. My NLA is about 2wks or so from harvest and I see the buds fattening up finally since the trim the other day. I do t want the atmosphere to be off from it producing a higher yield.

Came home from work today and the GMO and random seed plant had droopy leaves. Watered em and they perked right up 20mins later. You’ve bn a great deal of help and I appreciate it honestly. :100:

Funny you should mention them. Getting ready for curing so got them out, put the batteries in, and set them out on the desk. All readings within two degrees and +/- 2% RH. Don’t think they can be calibrated, so I just take the batteries out and hope that resets them.

As far as your readings, I would be sure to stay within VPD levels. If I recall, at that temp, your humidity would need to be sky high. Try to get the temps down. That humidity is good for late flowering to prevent mold and mildew to grow.

Im sure you have your fans blowing.

I am grateful I can pass on support as others have done, and continue to do, for me.

Continued success.
