1st time grower, outdoor desert. i apologize in advance for any silly questions. Ive done some topping,LST & I’ve removed some foliage twice. A few questions.
Did I remove to many leaves?
Currently in the middle of a storm with heavy down poor, & wind gust of 25-40MPH should i be covering up? If so with what?

And also you want to use whatever you can find to shield them

Outside plants typically don’t need much defoliation just enough for air flow and to uncover cola sights as needed. If I was you I would find some kind of stake because that winds pretty strong you won’t want a stem to snap off. Dang sorry pal where’s my manners… Welcome to the Canna-Fam Growmie

Appreciate the tag @Firstimer1299. A little more defoliation than I would have done but she’ll recover. With it outdoors I would let it go from here

Doesnt get to hot, gets some natural shade during peak times. Its surviving triple digits all of July, top off with extra perlite to help keep roots cool. Thank you
