Yeah you look ok bro @Rdg1951
Top pic it just my 300 w 9 band led lights
Bottom is with the two of the 400 w cob lights mixed in much whiter
I’m out of like😦
@Rdg1951 @Countryboyjvd1971 that looks like the same light I just bought on ebay though mine is only a 300w. Full Spectrum. It was a pretty decent price for my compact budget!
I’ve decided I’'m only going to grow one plant to start so one 300w is plenty for me for now.
The light seems solid and all.
Hey my friend. Yeah I’m going to grow more than one. I’m waiting on my seed’s to show up. This little girl might go outside in the spring.
I’m coming to visit bro. Great looking grow going.
Nice yeah I vegged my girls 5 total under three 300 watt full spectrum 9 band lights no problem and I added two 400 cob style for flower
And removed one of the 300 w lights when I added the cob lights ![]()

Ok my noob is showing… cob light?
I’m short on room for now so one is a good place to start for me. I’m also waiting on my seeds to arrive. By the time it’s getting close to harvest, the weather will be mild enough I can start a grow in my shed. It’s 3 season and should be good. Then I can get some going outside as well. By the fall I should have more than I know what to do with. hahahaha.
Then i will need a couple more lights
Lol no worries Cob (Chip on board) is a different type of led chip instead of having say 200 led bulbs you’ll have 3 or 4 bigger ones for a simple definition newer technology
I’m not a led engineer lol so that’s the best I can do at 330 am lmao
Supposed to be closer to natural sun light ?
I paid $99 on Amazon for mine 400 watt It draws around 190/200 actual watts which is about 50 more than my 300 watt led lights that I paid $89 for
I only bought them because I was in need for a couple lights I had to give up 2 of the 300 w for my wife’s fig 4 trees they where to small to leave out this year lol bonus I’ll the lights back when I plant fig trees in the spring ![]()
Nice
yeah I’ll start a few indoor for transplant outdoors I’m waiting on some super silver haze myself that will be next grow
I’ll do a couple inside and like yourself once weather warms up I’ll put them out
I’m hoping to germinate by mid February so I can veg them out for a while indoors and give em a good head start ![]()
I’ve just started growing indoors myself not to long ago so I’ve got lots to learn and try too
I’ve done successful outdoor grows but last one something got at my crop lost most of it so I decided to move inside ![]()
@Simo78 how are the plants coming along? They should be starting to perk up now?
@Countryboyjvd1971 I know what lights you mean now. Geez I learn about 50 news things a day here since the new year started!
@bob31 for sure
I thought I knew a lot before I found this site and started reading and realized I didn’t know
Lol
I learn more every day myself and that’s a good thing
It only make us better ![]()

Attention to detail it’s the small things that matter ![]()
Hi Simo78 I’ve been reading your posts with great interest. I’m about to start my first grow but have held off because I’m concerned it’s been too hot, but you’re growing in temperatures I plan to. Keep up the posts ![]()
I have my lights go off at midday and come back on at 6pm to try avoid the main heat of the day.
That’s a good tip thanks.
Same here @Countryboyjvd1971 even i though I knew most of it and tried my first grow which wasn’t a success coz I was over watering them and shocked the hell out of the plants when transplanting. They were stunned then I found this forum and I’ve been hooked on to it ever since, still working on my next grow, it’s great to know all the mistakes I’ve been doing and can now work on it ![]()
Simo78 can I ask does the fan and ventilation stay on 24/7 or do I turn them off when the lights are out. Also do you think I need a carbon filter if I’m only growing 2 plants? I’m going to setup in a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 grow tent.
Yeah my fan n exhaust fan are on a 24/7. As for carbon filter that depends on you…how close are your neighbors? Do you have rent inspections? Do you have visitors that you dont want to know you are growing? These are all reasons for having a carbon filter…if you don’t need to hide it then you probably don’t need one…2 plants will still put out plenty of smell.
I personally would just have a carbon filter why risk people finding out
It take a stray postman or dilivery guy to smell something funny and say something
I don’t have any neighbors I can see except 1 who’s at least 150 yards away and I still run one
Just my 2 cents worth
Thanks for the advice guys I’m going to order a filter. Better to be safe.
