@BobbyDigital @IceSheets @QueenCityB do y’all drop your humidity during the last week? Also do you do the 48 hours of dark before harvest? I’m reading different things on both sides just want a lil advice on how you do it? I was running my humidity between 45-50 dropped it down to 35-40 over this last week. Again my first time getting this far so it’s all new to me lol.

Light degrades thc. If your modifications make it dark, then you’re good. A small cheap 2x2 grow tent is working great for me. After 12 hour darkness, when the lights come back on, I immediately put the plant in a dark tent until the next evening, and then I harvest. I sorta do 36 hours. That fits my schedule.

Waddup @SmokeOne I do try and drop to 35-40 percent humidity the last week or so. I have never tried extended dark period before harvest. Excited to see you buds dawg.

Week 9 update why am I so scared of this next stage smh lol hope y’all don’t mind me flooding with pics just don’t want to harvest to early or to late. The Afghan looks to be ready or right on the edge of ready. The hairs on the CBD is still sticking mostly straight up but the trichomes look to be Amber and can’t tell if they milky or clear still trying to get that part right but the CBD looks like it could still have a little time to go. Here’s the pics advice please!

What I’m seeing it that based on Trichomes pics they both look close…as long as the amber I’m seeing is on buds and not sugar leaves.
But when I look at the pistols on the buds they both look like 1-2 weeks or so…soooo let’s wait to here from others

@dbrn32 so about how much longer do you think and is it just way to early? I ask cause I just got called back to work starting Monday and in away I want to get to the next stage before I go back to work. But if I am still a couple weeks out I don’t want to rush it just going to be alot of work after a 12hr work day. Took some more pics after I let them get pretty thirsty.

One more question I have a branch bent over at the bottom of the plant and I see alot of bud sites on some lower parts of branches anyone harvest the top and let the bottom go for a couple more weeks?
Can I cut that off and test it out? Lol

That’s acceptable. But I’m not sure your tops are ready to harvest. You need to look at trichomes on the buds. Ideally all cloudy with small amount of amber is what I shoot for.

@dbrn32 yea I’m trying to get this trichom thing down I’m not sure what’s clear or cloudy lol I think they still clear but being my first time getting this far I’m scared to miss the window. A couple pics so I think these are clear but I do see some Amber and that’s the part that I get confused on cause I thought milky comes before the Amber.

Yea that’s the buds I think I try to get in as close as I can get and not on the leafs but again it’s all new to me. I see alot of Amber when I get a closer look with my jewlers loop. But the white hairs are still sticking up so I have flushed them so any day they ready to be chopped the TDS is now down to 180ppm and the water went in at 114ppm

Not uncommon for plants to throw a few stay new pistils late in grow. If majority of pistils are receded and trichs are cloudy with a little amber you should be good to chop. You just don’t want a ton of clear trichs, weed will lack potency or be very racy.

Lol so nervous about the harvest thinking I will try the 48hrs of dark and chop down Monday or Tuesday clipping off some of the yellow leafs today would it hurt if I go ahead and cut off all most all of the yellow? And what’s your advice on the chop down I hear it’s best to slow dry by cutting the entire plant down and hanging it but I have some good bud sites that popped up on the lower half and wondering should I just chalk them up and cut the plant or cut off the tops and let the bottoms continue to grow? @dbrn32 @BobbyDigital @Skydiver @repins12 @Chemzdead @QueenCityB

You can slow dry hanging colas by controlling the environment too, if you can. If you feel rh will be too low then better to hang more leaves and dry trim in my opinion.

Do you do the 48hrs dark?and if you do should I water then lights out or let the pot dry out then lights out?
I don’t, but you can if you feel it would make a difference. I do harvest after dark period though, just don’t distinguish between 12, 24, or 48 hours dark. I unplug light and get to them when I get to them. I typically let’s pot dry out before harvest.
