NoisyNanna

In my late 60’s and growing some herbs for my chronic arthritis pain, I am new at all of this. A friend gave me some seeds and when I planted them in the vege garden they literally exploded out of the ground. Now 3 months along, they are nearly 5 feet tall and I have not got a clue how, when and where to proceed.

Living Down-under in Oz-trailia, all of your information for growing seasons and months of the year for planting, harvesting etc is BACK-TO-FRONT for me LOL

I live in an area that boarders nicely on Sub-tropical/Temperate zones. We have cool’ish, dry winters and very hot, wet summers. Most anything will grow here. I even stuck a spiky, green, pineapple head in the ground during last Autumn and now it’s a grown plant with A PINEAPPLE FLOWER jutting out! How cool is that? LOL

Seeing my plants are so tall right now, I do need to force them to flower before neighbours look over my fence and spot them. It’s not exactly legal to grown herbs here as yet :frowning:

Also, the gardener that comes by whenever he chooses, will be certain to identify my herbs and either report them or sneak in one night and take them for himself. either way it’s a sad outcome for me :frowning:
