Really, I’m a first time grower who is growing outdoors in 5 gal food grade buckets with the brown bags of Happy Frog Soil. I trampled down an area in a thick weed patch and placed buckets in the clearing.
I sprinkle minced garlic in surrounding weeds and bottom of buckets in hopes of keeping pests away.

My 2 mellon colley’s are doing okay and starting to bud/flower. Although, I have occasionally seen tiny black spider’s. I simply knock them off and any tiny webs. Are these whats called spider mites?? I’ve had some random yellowed leaves here and there. Possibly a result of overwatering? I pinch those off. I was told to use Fox Farm Tiger Bloom nuits throughout budding cycle?

Any hints, tips or suggestions are welcomed.
