I am 57. I came to the north coast 30 years ago and bought a sandwich shop in Eureka, Ca. I live on the outskirts of town where the climate is considerably warmer with views of a somewhat pristine old growth redwood forest. My main activities outside of the shop are building mountain bike trails and riding them. I’m also passionate about cultivating native plants for the property here. I’m a “product of the 60’s and 70’s” which means I’m no stranger to the world of cannabis. My recent interest in growing stems from my insomnia. So this year I set out to grow some plants that I could use to either vape or make sleeping gummies. My intention was to grow two plants but that quickly evolved into , shall we say, many. So far I’m having a great time learning the growth habits and training techniques that your website has taught me. I have so much to learn though. My main concerns at this point are the ever present nighttime humidity. Daytime it’s fine 50% Rh but at night it gets to be 85-90% Rh. It’s late July and my greenhouse plants are starting to show the first signs of flowering. I found a male plant in there today. The one White Lightning I had. Question: will that cross pollinate the other strains? I thought it would so out it went. It was no use to me at that point anyway. These next three months will be exciting. I’m hoping on at least some success. It seems like now is the time to prepare for my humidity mitigation. Any ideas?
