Yellowing so late into flower?

Thinking there’s something going on? She is close to the finish line. I was expecting more of a fading the a yellowing. Though the leaves close in to kolas are doing the fade thing. Probably ph issue in the soil? Locked out?
“Acid Snow” Speedrun Seeds 61 days from sprout.

Speedrun seeds website says 60-75 day plant. Going to check trichomes when lights come back on.

Happy growing and I appreciate all the feed back

Those are some thick looking colas, nice!! Looks like she’s giving her final push. Should be a great smoke when it’s time.

Thank you :folded_hands:

Hope so! Lots of milky and some clear still. I’m thinking a week.

At least a week..
Maybe two

Agree with @ScottsBuds probably closer to 2 weeks.

She’s lookin good — those buds are chunky and frosty, so props on that :clap:t5:

If you’re around day 50–60 of flower, I’ve had plants do this exact same thing late in flower more times than I can count. Nine times outta ten it ends up just being senescence (aka the plant getting old and wrapping things up). Basically she’s pulling nutrients out of the fan leaves and redirecting that energy into finishing the buds and pushing resin. It can look rough, but at this stage it’s totally normal. I used to chase leaf color late in flower too — been there, done that, learned my lesson lol.:sweat_smile:Now I let the trichomes call the shots.

If they’re mostly cloudy with a little amber starting, you’re right in the harvest window. If you’re still seeing a lot of clear, she might have a bit more to give. I stopped stressing seedbank timelines after a LOT of trial and error and started trusting my jeweler’s loupe instead. For me, the more amber I see, the heavier the couch-lock hits :joy:

If you can snag some trich shots & post ’em up — that’s where the REAL story is at :eyes::herb::partying_face:

@DaygoGal420 I’m going to try and get some pics tonight. Have to set up a tent for drying.

Here’s some pics of the trichomes. Bust pics I could get atm. Need a digital microscope.

These were all taken from various colas main and all the lowers.

From the looks of it looks like I’ll be checking the plant daily from here on out.

I’m thinking maybe Christmas Eve harvest….

Shes starting to do the fade thing on her main kola.

Best pics of the trichs I could get at the moment.

:purple_heart:Those are some solid shots, especially for not having a digital scope yet :eyes:You can still see what’s going on pretty clearly with the DIY zoom.
:purple_heart:I like that you grabbed pics from tops and lowers too. Those can tell totally different stories sometimes, and yours look pretty consistent, which is a good sign.
:green_heart:From what I’m seeing, it looks like you’ve got mostly cloudy trichs right now, with a few clears still hanging out and not a whole lot of amber yet. That actually lines up really well with being around that 50–60ish day mark you mentioned earlier.
:green_heart:And I don’t remember if this is something I read ages ago or saw on Netflix one time :joy: but the general idea is: the longer you wait, the more locked you’ll be. As trichs go through the color changing process, THC slowly starts breaking down into another compound, and that’s usually where that heavier, more couch-locky vibe comes from.
:white_check_mark:So if you chopped right now, the effects would probably lean more uplifting / heady / “clear,” since cloudy trichs are peak THC and you don’t have much amber yet.
:white_check_mark:If you let her ride a bit longer, you’re giving more time for amber to show up …which usually means deeper body relaxation and more couch-lock, especially if that’s the goal you mentioned earlier.
:white_check_mark:This stage always messes with me cuz everything looks done, but the plant’s still doing her thing quietly. Nothing crazy but I always put it in the “waiting for water to boil” frame tier…lol … it takes longer when you’re just sitting there staring at the pot :expressionless_face:
:green_book:If I had to throw out a rough guess (and that’s all it is), you’re probably in the window now but could be 7–14 days out if you’re chasing that heavier finish. Checking daily from here makes total sense.
:cross_mark_button:As for flushing …I don’t know if you’re doing it or not. Some folks do, some don’t. I’ve tried it both ways at different points, so I won’t get preachy :joy: If I do flush, this is usually about when I’d start that last 7–14 day stretch.
:cross_mark_button:Either way, she’s looking frosty and healthy
:evergreen_tree:Nice work getting her this far :flexed_biceps:t4::fire:
:dashing_away:Welp… I’m baked and done typing before I start repeating myself :joy: y’all have a good one :herb:

Man this one is testing my patience. From the outside looks I probably would have chopped a few days ago.

The trichomes are telling me something else I believe. I’m shooting for 20-30 percent amber to 70-80 percent milky. I’ve checked all kolas trichs and this is what I’m seeing.

Lots of cloudy/milky some clear around and hardly any amber.
The majority of ambers that Ive seen were on main kolas top tip and in leaves. Theres some here and there in the other kolas tip but not seeing much.

Thinking tonight I may just chop. Could use the real estate in the tent. I’ve just always chopped early and never really tried for the 70/30 effect.

She’s smelling great/dank and has a rancid aftertone that hits the back of my throat. Almost as if I could taste the putridness. Happy growing y’all
