Yall Watch This!

When do you guys think I can flip to flower?

I would wait till they’re probably 6” taller. From what I see, a lot of people wait till they’re about 2 months old or a little under 1/2 of the vertical height restrictions of their space. You just topped the other day so make sure that they’re fully recovered from that and let the new tops grow a bit I would think.

I suspected as much. I guess I’m just impatient. It’s not wide open here, the struggle is still real. I can’t wait to be self reliant.

I hear ya. Take your time and enjoy watching them grow. Pay attention to them and they’ll reward you.

I think it’s about time to start some LST. Any suggestions? Do I just bend the main stem over and let her grow?

Ok, my first shot at LST. Someone please tell me I didn’t just F up. I’ve never done this before, but it looks like others I’ve seen on here, I guess.

The LST itself looks fine to this noob. However, be careful what you use to tie them with. Thin materials can cut into your plants as they grow. I’d recommend this stuff…or something like it.

Great job!

Yeah I think I rushed it, didn’t have optimal materials. I ended up getting the day off and felt froggy. I’ll order the coated wire and clips and replace. They’ll work for now I guess. Thanks for the reassurance guys.

Pic from the next day. They took to the LST quite well. Not sure what I can do about the runt, I guess I’ll just see what she does. I was a bit worried yesterday, never done this before, but within 2 hours they had already flipped back over to face the light. Today I see lower bud sites start to take off. The end of August will be when I flip to flower, I think.

Update on the ladies, they are doing well. They are exploding out the top! It almost looks like green alien legs, like the face sucking egg jumpers! They have taken to the new light well, too. Lotta foliage. Still don’t know what to do about the runt.

Yall Watch This Pt. B, I guess… I made 4 clones! I’ve had zero luck germinating the last 6 or 7 seeds. No clue what’s going on, same method works in past. And on top of that, I’m pretty sure my wife accidentally threw out most of my seeds thinking they were junk mail. So I hope these clones work.

So I did the oldb3 day tug test on the clones. One held, 3 others pulled up. I only pulled 1/8 inch or so, just to see. I can probably reveg some more after flower finishes. I think my plan is to move a few plants to veg in the attic over the winter. Might even flower them there. Very mild temps in East Texas during winter. A MH should provide plenty of heat. But… I’m getting ahead of myself.

I use my garage tent for flowering in the winter. Really brings out the colors when I can get the tent in the 60’s. I can’t get those temps inside. I’m in southeast Tx.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I’m looking forward to putting some purp up there. I’m a big sativa guy though, and I wonder how some tropical would do up there.

This was some color I was able to get out of amnesia haze (80% sativa) with lower temps

Hell yeah, that’s beautiful! I’m definitely looking forward to it. I’ve been wanting to grow Maui Wowie for a while, along with some Blue Dream…and probably 200 other strains!

Does anyone know of a good organic flower fertilizer for top dressing? Any opinions on this stuff?

Or this?

I’ll defer you to @AAA and @Skydiver on organic.
