This is the little bugger we found in 3 of our plants…we cut them out cleaned the area with hydrogen peroxide and used electrical tape to help mend the cut…all 3 seem to be doing well now…keeping fingers crossed 
dealing with similar issue with some outdoor autos…caterpillers into buds and some stalks - cut out buds and stalks and stems to try to limit damage and the rot they will eventually cause. Using minimal spray options as I am super close to harvest. situation isnt great.
