Why Aren't They Growing?

Was handled and redundent. Grower wasnt new so was condescending to an experienced grower. I try to be polite.

Oh ok. I hope I didn’t say anything that you felt was condescending. Cause you often chime in on my postings and on others I see too and are helpful. I too was trying to be as nice as I could be. Believe me that I deleted most of what I had to say before pressing ‘reply’.

Good morning I almost guarantee that those plants are overwatered 100%. Why would I say this because I just did this foolishly on my plant grow this round with to high heat. I got pictures to show you LOL. I thought they were underwatered and when I transplanted them I pre-soaked by 10 gallon fabric bags. Then they got worse. I overwatered so much that I didn’t water my plants for 9 days and they came back to life. I am also like Edward scissorhand and trimming any crappy leaves off. So I know I stunted my growth I believe this round only time will tell.

This picture is over a week old I need to take new pictures cuz she’s bigger and badder :dancer:
If a one thing I’ve read on the PPM I used tap water that I leave open for a couple of days to get away the bleach. It starts at about 400 for me by the time I had nutrients as well a thousand plus I just ride the storm. I know I use very precise milliliters and I’ve always under the dosage on Fox farm and I’ve never had problems on lockout. Everything’s different on each grill I believe that’s where farming is about :woman_farmer::man_farmer:

I believe this is in the beginning picture if you zoom in you can see my leaves looking like yours those things got trimmed weeks and weeks ago FYI I do talk by text I can’t imagine typing this
And if anybody will just want that ring is it’s the Ring of water drilled out small holes every half an inch

@ShureGreen I thought grower was new myself to begin with. Gave newbie advice but once realized not new i deleted to avoid being an ass…grin. i like that 99%of forum members are kind and.polite. i just want to follow that trend.

Well, I’m doing what @peachfuzz @Jaysittinback recommended I do and keeping my fingers crossed while I do it. I’m just thankful that somebody finally said, ‘do this’ instead of 'it might be… '. Cause I was days studying trying to figure it out and wasn’t. Seems the general idea for right now is over watering, humidity, and soil.

That is a VERY common issue with seedlings. Less is more is my philosophy with them. Have had some ugly droughts myself.

I swear I wasn’t giving them a lot. At least I wasn’t trying to.

What is probably going to happen happens to me. 6 in a row fail. Then 5. I plant 10 seeds to compensate. All friggin 10 sprout perfect and i struggle to reset and fittem all. Hate killing them by that time so grow them all.:grin: just a suggestion but try cloning next good photo. Screw beans…lmao. that is my next run. All clones again.

I have 6 Clones going now. I couldn’t tell you which strains they are. Just clippings by accident and stuck them in some dirt and they all grew roots. In my big tent I have those 6 + 5 Photos. That’s why the Autos are in the other room. Smh.

It’s very hard to accurately water a seedling in a big pot. Peach is on track with his advise. He’s a great grower and has taught me a lot. Especially when I tried a DWC bubble bucket.
I’m also wondering about your soil. Maybe its a bit hot.
I picked up this stuff from walmart.

I hope that’s not the same soil you got from walmart
Thinking I could use it to mix up some seedling soil, I mixed it with lots of perlite because It looked like it held to much water and added some peat moss and a small amount of gypsum. My veggie seedlings popped but were pale yellow and looked sad. I tried throwing a couple clones in it with the same yellowing results. I tossed the seedlings and clones then threw the soil in my compost bin. I’ve returned to my black gold seed soil that I always have good luck with.
The guys will get you on track. Good luck with the grow :v::green_heart:

Nope, my very first interaction with him was him bashing my grows and that my plants are small stunted and look like crap. His words. That was all I needed. You can tag me in anytime you have a question.

Back to you…the only other thing I would try is smaller homes for the first 2-3 weeks. keep em domed or at least get that humidity up to 80% for those first few weeks. Then transplant to final home. It is hard on em to try to root in a large container at that age for some reason. At least that is my experience.

I have input here starting at thread 41. Step by step with pics at each stage from germing to 3 weeks. Maybe there is something here that can help??

@GreenJewels Not the same. I think it was something like everyday gardner or something. Anyway, I guess I’m going to have to start spending more on Soil. I really liked the Lowe’s stuff until I got all those bags with bugs in them. I don’t care much for bugs.

@Bonjoyle Thanks for that. The reason I had put them from the little paper pot to their permanent pot was because some article somewhere said it was best due to the stress of repotting and being Autos they may not recover. See how I say one site says one thing and another says something else. It can get quite confusing. Breals my heart because when I did transplant, one of them had grown roots through the bottom of the container and and round bottom would come off. Lol! 2 more had nice roots also and 1 was still small. I’d hate to see what those roots look like now. I put a clear plastic bowl over each last night and only 1 had dew inside this morning. So I shut the door. I had the room humidity up to 68% when I did that and figured with the bowls I didn’t need to run the humidifier any more. I should’ve left it on, I guess. It’s back on now. Took me all day yesterday to get it to the 68%. My Grand had half her thyroid removed this morning so I will br at the hospital all night. Hopefully them and my dogs will be ok by themselves.

I had asked before what y’all thought about putting them into the soil from my other grow, and posted the numbers on it. What do you think about that?

Can you direct me to where that info is above or just copy and paste. I am not one to leave a question unanswered if I can answer.

Is this the numbers you mentioned. They do not look bad. I personally do not reuse soil but we all gotta do what we can. My current soil mix is a blend of Ocean Forest, Royal Tupur, Worm castings, dry tomato fertilizer and some mykos and azos. I am trying my hand at an outdoor grow and built this and used almost 50 gallons of soil.

I bought some cheap soil from Walmart for my 1st auto grow. Such an absolute mistake. It was Pennington rejuv. Hopefully it is not the same as what you used. As soon as they got to the soil they deformed, got odd colors and spots, and had damn fungus gnats. So the $ spent to try and fix the plant issues, the time, the few I lost and all the $ spent on getting rid of the gnats was 10x the cost of really good soil. I learned my lesson lol

@Bonjoyle Yes those are the numbers. Sorry I am at the hospital with my Grand tonight. I didn’t want to reuse it at all except that what I bought for this photo grow Was bug ladden and unusable. So I had no choice. Big mistake because you can’t put seedlings into dirt with Flowering chems in it. They are stunted and I’ve lost 4 so far. Then I got new doil for these Autos and you see the result of that. With the used soil finally being flushed through to where the numbers are low, I just wondered. I liked that soil. It was Lowe’s brand but fid well enough. Right up until I 7 bags of a variety of bugs that I’d just assume never encounter again. Lol! I’ll never buy it again now, no matter how well it did first time around. But thought that maybe it mightbe better than what they’re in now. Because I’ve lost 1 photo in the same dirt as these Autos are in, nearly 3 but took them out of the dirt and put them unto water and they came back. Put them back into the same dirt and am about to lose a second. 1 of them seems to be doing ok though. If my windfall I been expecting ever comes through I’m going to invest in good soil, I suppose. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers: That’s quite a pot you made there.

@Alldogsfamily No. Not that kind either. It was this stuff, mixed with Scott’s Top Soil and Perlite.

@Jaysittinback @peachfuzz what do you 2 think about repotting into the old soul with the above RunOff and Slurry numbers. I’ve now lost 1 Photo and about to be 2, that were ready to Flower, that are in the same soil as these Autos.

Well , unfortunately i didn’t see your posted numbers…
But im just trying to understand how to wrangle you in…
You kinda have alot of things going on all at one time…
I get it…
Life is just that , life…
But you really have to learn some patience and a simpler approach and thing’s will get a little easier to understand…
Its kinda hard to find you’re bearings on a map , when your lookin at 3 different maps…  :green_heart:
I would leave the plant’s right were they are and push through this grow as a learning experience…
Do as i said and keep them domed and don’t worry so much about your tent or room environment and only water every 7 days and when you do , no food …
Also how much you water when you do , would be good to know?
If you were in hydro , you could expect results in the time frame that you are hoping for with your soil grows…
Its not the same thing and you will never get your plant’s to respond that fast in soil…
Completely different animal…
You need to breath and (kiss) your grows …
Keep it simple, because it usually is , it usually always boils down to operator error and not necessarily always the equipment… :+1:
We’ll see you through this…
So don’t transplant or move , let them be with domes…
:v: :sunglasses:

I have the same problem, this is my first time ever growing. My seeds germinated and I planted them in regular potting soil (MiracleGro). Then, I switched to Happy Time, but, it still not blossoming. It been about a two months and it the same size. This morning I switch it to a bigger pot, hoping that would help. Can someone also, give some advice?

Also, when am I suppose to be feeding? I tried to add a little (1 ml) of base, cal-mag, silica, and mammoth microbe.

Welcome to the forum happy gardening!
Happy time is a lawn chair and a beer. Happy Frog is the soil you mean? It’s good for at least a month. Likely she’s overwatered. Let’s see got pics?
