White widow outside help

I’m sorry that light does not have enough power for what you want to do. It must be more powerful. There is just not much power. These girls want a lot of light in the correct spectrum. For veg it is about 600 to 650 nano meters and for veg 400 to 450 nano meters comes to mind. At the power that puts out you will not be happy.
I am not an inside grower but I did read a tremendous amount of info.
As a retired engineer as always been my practice that to much is just more then you need but not enough just does not work.

If that’s what you plan to grow 10 autos with, I’m afraid you will discover that it is not powerful enough to grow even one plant to maturity much less 10

At least you only spent 30 bucks

You can use that in the seedlings stage but that’s about all

As for special soils, there are several to choose from but the fox farms line of soil is what most here use and is somewhat forgiving for beginners
But again, that’s just wasting cash until you get a quality light and for that, you are looking at quite a bit more than 30 bucks

Not even remotely. Sorry to say.

A decent light starts at $100, a good light starts around $200, a best light will run $300+.

For indoor growing, you’ve gotta decide the size of space you want to work with. We can recommend better lighting to fit your budget and space. But the light you’ve got will pretty much help pop seeds and stop there. No insult intended, it’s just a fact.

HLG (horticulture lighting group) is a reliable name brand the forum seems to default to, best bang for your buck.

AC Infinity came out with nice lights very recently, more affordable than HLG but you may sacrifice quality. They haven’t been out long enough to know.

ChilLED Tech lights are great but pricey.

I do recommend a specialized soil, I.e. Fox Farms or Coast of Maine soil. Don’t use generic Miracle Gro potting soil. It will be too “hot” or preloaded with nutrients to get you anywhere.

Autoflowers are… good because they have an internal timer. They often can lack the potency that their Photoperiod counterparts have. But for your purposes, once you get the hang of one or two plants you’ll be in business. My first autoflower netted me a whopping .65 ounces. So next to nothing for all the time and energy she got.

Can I ask something? I read with autoflower, you are guaranteed no matter the light but the potency and the size would be less. Am I way off here?

I’ve only grown auto’s once so far, did ok, but there are some grower on here that are experts with auto’s, and grow some outstanding plants, but it takes alot of time to perfect. As for the light they still need alot, not sure all the requirements maybe @Nicky can chime in and give a little more info.

Autos are a risk. In general should not be aimed towards new growers. They are actually more prone to problems then others. You want at least a 2x2 space for autos to grow comfortably since you are new. Aim for 30-35 actual watts high quality led from the wall per square foot. with this many plants we are talking about a large space. With a lot of light. Maybe $1500 through HLG for a couple big boy fixtures.

For a single plant you can get away with a $100-200 light in a small tent. This is actually a pretty expensive hobby up front, but it pays for itself. I don’t think people realize how easy it is to drop a few thousand bucks.

You will likely not yield anything from that light :point_up_2::point_up_2::point_up_2: with the flexible bars. Wouldn’t even get you through veg. Might be good for a few seedlings.

Autos will grow under just about any condition yes but you need appropriate light levels to get that far.

10 autos? Transplanting?(bad for autos) No light? hate to tell ya I think you bit off more than you were prepared for.

Under 50° growth stops.

the average stage for autos is 3-5 months. From start to finish.

The last 2 autos I ran together were in a 2x4 tent. The light to manage that space was around $500. Maybe chop some plants and opt for a small tent.

I have money to invest but not sure what I need. Also that whopping .65 oz is more than enough. It’s hard for me to get white widow flower or anything equivalent in NC unless I went to some shady drug dealer. At that point, who knows what I’m actually getting?

I have space. I just don’t know wtf I’m doing. Ha. Give me helpful advice. I will spend what is needed to make it work. I probably won’t attempt this many at once again but they have popped up. I can cancel that light order still. Money is not as big of a concern but it might be nice not to go over several hundred. That would be way too much pot for me anyway. I need some good, straight advice. Looking on Amazon. I’ll see what I can figure out with info given thus far.

2x2 , 4x4, 6x6? I don’t need a huge harvest. Should I just try 4x4?

I guess I’ll let it go until it freezes. I should have everything in by then…

You can pull over LB out of a 2x4 with appropriate light. Half lb in 2x2. Couple lbs in a 4x4

I would leave until the freeze if you have to. I grow inside and I’m hoping I can keep my room my tent is in warm enough. My grow won’t be done until the end of December.

Haha. I don’t think I have a big goal. It would be nice to get even 1/2 oz but I’m not opposed to a bit more. The get 10 seeds free thing, I felt like it wasn’t that expensive. I’ve spent a lot more buying it. Will that 4x4 one be enough for that?

Wow! And then what about the dirt? I’m going to home depot tomorrow and can get dirt, pots, whatever. I just hate to fuck this up.

Thank you so much by the way! I ordered the 3x3

I know it isn’t perfect but this is only like 3 days in. I can just move them into their own space without disrupting anything I feel like. This light will be here Wednesday.

No problem. Be VERY careful transplanting as autos get pi55y really easy.

If you want all 10 autos in the 4x4 I’d go for 3 gallon pots. It’ll be tight but it’s doable. In a 3x3 maybe 2 gallon pots. Do you have a hydro store near by? I think Home Depot primarily has miracle grow products and that’s not very cannabis friendly. I think their “black gold” is decent, but I have no experience with it.

There are tons of options though…
