Whimsical Reefer Waggery

Perhaps this summer, we Northerners will have defrosted enough to meet up and exchange seed, flower, smoke dope, and whatever else comes to our addled minds.

@low Actually you guys had a lot of :poop: going on too! Kids causing infestations… sicknesses not letting y’all breathe, jeeeeez

I’m like half way caught up with your guys’ journal now :raising_hands:

And I’m glad I’m reading it because otherwise I would’ve missed hearing about and seeing @MadamCalamity make pasta from scratch! I’ve done a lot of homemade/from scratch country cooking - fresh is best 4sure! I’ve done pastas, dumplings, breads/popovers, pretzels all from scratch so if you ever have any questions or want a walk through FaceTime tutorial on anything - let me know!

At some point I’ll have to dig out and post pics of some meals I’ve made (I like to take pictures that look like they’re all fancy :see_no_evil_monkey:) here’s a cake I made once:

That cake is awesome! I’ve always wanted to decorate a cake using fondant. One day. This is the extent of my decorating

Could always use tips and tricks, I appreciate the offer! Might have to take you up on it sometime.

You make sourdough?

That cake is super cute and totally Minecraft and recognizable! Girl, be proud - fondant tastes like :poop: anyways :rofl:

This is one thing I’ve absolutely been wanting to get into, sadly I haven’t yet.

Once my house is more in order I can play with that - I know some peeps with starters. I’ll tag ya and post updates when I start tackling that :two_hearts:

Dang lol guess not surprising though

If you do it, it might give me the courage to make a starter. Have quite a few recipes that I’m interested in that require discard. It just seems intimidating for absolutely no reason

I think it’d be cool to set up a little weekend if people wanted to camp somewhere… I could look into renting a cabin or air bnb somewhere?

I’m up for it, retired and open to anything. Hell, I like riding a bike and hanging between trees, I’m easy to please. Lake Maria State Park comes to mind. Just rambling though…

Who are we picking… Jacksonville or Buffalo?

I’m gonna say the Bills :ok_hand:

That is an insult to sardines!!!

When I moved to Minnesota in '78, I asked a co-worker about lutefisk. She explained it very well. Envision Boiled Snot on Toast.

In actuality, Lutefisk is dried cod soaked in barrels of lye, a Norwegian “delicacy”. It is available at select markets throughout Mn.

Honestly I could probably just host a gathering out here… we have… a few acres and lakes here :joy: whoever is genuinely interested will have to find me on IG

And thank you kindly @ScottsBuds :heart_hands:

@PogueMahone Yeahhh lutefisk is in that “not gonna try” category for me  I’m not picky but bugs, organs, weird pickled things, and cilantro are the only things I won’t eat

@GreenJewels does. Maybe hit her up on the other side. I’m sure she’d be happy to discus or even get you a starter.

I can smell it now :face_vomiting::face_vomiting::face_vomiting:
My mother used to make it for Christmas for my great grandmother when she was still alive.

I’m not sure if I still have access to the other side.
