Whistle Log, 21 days before Christmas.
Adulting is highly overated. The last couple of weeks has been a test of both my patience and sanity. But we persevere.
The lab is a lively flowering garden! Blue Dream Baby Queen continues her journey though at a much slower pace than anticipated. She has hit 12 weeks and all her trichomes are still clear as glass. Her buds continue to fatten although I doubt they will win any contests. But there are a lot of them and I am excited to harvest.
The dirt dwellers are voraciously flowering! I am feeding them at the highest rate on the Lotus Nutrients scedule and still cant keep up. Further evidence for my switch to total DWC. I am figuring they should all finish up around Christmas.
D2 is ready for harvest, no giant buds but they are all chonky and dense

Whistle Log, 124th Birthday of Quantum Theory.
I love the Holidays! Since my childhood, i have reveled in the magic that surrounds Christmas. The lights, music, and decorations. The way flour, sugar, eggs, and other ingredients disappeared from the shelves of the fruit cellar and were replaced with Kolachi, Pierogi, Kielbasi, and other delectable treats. A house full of loved ones making Merry. The kids bursting with anticipation and wonder. The twinkle of lights on the tree when the house is silent and dark, everyone cozied up in their beds. My childhood was shit show, sometimes i wonder how the hell i made it out alive, but there isnt a Christmas in my memory that wasnt magical.
The Lab experienced a Christmas miracle of its own, all 4 remaining plants are ready for chop. I figured they would all be close, but yesterday’s trichome check revealed all the ladies ’ Christmas cheer! Sooooo tomorrow I will be trimming the trees and decking the halls with bows of Hakowi. I have never smoked any of the strains so saying I am excited is an understatement and dreams of spliffs filled with Blue Dream, Love Potion, Marleys Grin, and Monster Wedding dance in my head!

Grow season 2024 has officially come to a close here at the lab. Not a terrible first run at this game. Mistakes were made, plants were lost, BUT we learned a shit ton. I harvested Blue Dream Baby Queen and she weighed out at 1 1/4 pounds!!! I know 70% of that weight will be lost to dry/cure, but its still exciting! Each of the dirt dwellers gave up about 8 ozs a piece. No trophies there but the buds are frosty AF. dropped the temps to about 60 the last 3 days and got some sweet colors.
I will post some more pics after the dry trim before cure.

Thanks! I dont think I am quite ready for BOM but I definitely saw improvements over my first grow! I m pumped to get the lab ready for the Northern Lights run!

Whistle Log, 3 days before Christmas
The Fish Whistle homestead has been a fleury of activity preparing for the Holidays!
Kolachi, Pierogi, Kielbasi, Peanut butter Blossoms, Rice Crispie Treats, and my Aunt Dee’s Candied Pecans (everybody loves Dee’s Nuts) have all been prepared. A few cookies left to bake and gifts to wrap and I will be ready for the Festivities to begin!!!
I got the Marley’s Grin and Love Potion chopped, dried, and trimmed. Not the densest buds, but frosty. I snuck a smoke of the Marley’s Grin and it is fire! It tastes like generic orange Life Savers and diesel and the orange after taste sticks around. Great Sativa buzz, energetic but smiley and a little dumb. Not fork in a toaster dumb, just why the F did I come in here dumb. Some bud porn as promised.
