I’ve grown over a dozen strains from ILGM and I liked them all. As @SausageMahoney and @merlin44 said, I’m happy with what is in my dry herb vape at the time.
But my all time favorite is Chocolope. Loved that stuff. I would smoke that sh!t and go work in the yard all afternoon. The hi lasts for hours and it gives you lots of energy. It was also the most requested weed from all my friends.

I had some good times with Acapulco Gold but that was years ago. In later years I’m liking Blackberry Moonrocks terps , enough to base all my crosses using it as the pollinator. My original Pancakes will always come to mind, my first successful cross and ended up a damn fine one. After last grow, I have to add Kona Red by @OGIncognito , I’ll definitely have it back in the lineup as soon as the pheno hunt girls have been cloned and cloned selected for seed run.

I like the lower thc level strains. Acapulco gold back in day, and white widow. Maui waui was always a favorite because it turned me into a giggle factory. A lot of the newer strains are too potent. I enjoyed smoking it like a cigar. Not one hit and quit. Guess I was more into the flavor than the effects

I’m a sativa guy in the daytime and an indica guy in the evening. Current day favorites:
ILGM’s Durban Poison is top of my list for daytime.
Petrol Potion by Extreme Genetix and Blueberry by ILGM are running neck and neck for my evening choice. That Blueberry is choice for a good night’s sleep.

I think my favorite is Blue Dream. Definitely relaxes my OCD brain and lets me be much more creative… Being someone who strives to be artistic, free flowing, with a brain that always demands perfection and structure can be a struggle lol. Blue dream makes it all work

I must of had a crappy dealer back in the seventies, because all I remember is brick weed full of seeds. Puff, puff, choke, choke and pass the bong.
The first time I heard Chris Stapleton’s Down to seeds and stems, it reminded me of the seventies and , I did cry

My all-time favorite was Super Dave, from KGB in Oregon.
I love sati’s, and this stuff grabbed me by the eyeballs and swung me around like a lunatic lumberjack.
A smooth, earthy taste and way too much thc for a lightweight like me (maybe in the 25 to 30% range?).
It hit hard and fast, and was basically a rolled heart attack.
Bought a single from a store in Portland, and never found it for sale again, flower or beans.

The best weed I had was the stuff that smelled like dead skunk and you could still smell it walking by the car it was in when it was packed inside of a vacuum sealed bag inside a plastic bag in a backpack in a closed car trunk. Heavy narcotic effects, couch lock almost guaranteed. The kind of smoke where you plan to eat after smoking and forget for an hour doing nothing until you realise need to smoke some more before you go get your food lol.
I havent found anything close in ~15 years. Seems those genetics are lost to time. I hope somebody finds a cut or some seeds somewhere because I miss the kind of weed that made me feel like a character in half-baked. I miss those skunk roadkill terps.

Look for skunk #1 crosses, or search for Skunk OG. I’ve run across low thc offerings that will definitely take you back.
The original was skunk #1 crossed with alcapulco and columbian gold, and something else

Ive heard of/seen those but the reviews Ive seen from people who grew them did not instill confidence that they are even close to the same.

Let me contact a couple of folks I know who might have some ideas.
A few years ago they pointed me in the right direction for OG Kush beans, I’ll try to find my notes on the grow (we had a “water issue”, I lost of my material).
I do remember that the thc was in the neighborhood of 8%, and cbd was 13% or so. An old school gal, from back when everyone was passing and one guy was rolling.
I’ll dm you if I track something down.
I’d love it if ILGM ever offered old school, low thc beans… I also realize nobody can do everything for everyone
But mayyybeee…?

idk about low thc. could be. could be another compound responsible. We used to get beasters, cali medical, mexican brick, various named strains(I could name them but who knows if the names were real), local home grown etc. None of it came close to being the same or as potent. The skunk we got never came with a name, just a lot of excitement about how strong it smelled.

Well now ,back in the 70’s we got some beer and went to the drive-in.They were have a Beatle’s movie night.I swear the entire small town showed up.Anyway I went to the men’s rm ran into a old friend.He was selling big joints for $5.00. Each. I thought that was a bit steep.He said it was from Lebanon,and it was fire..Well me and my closest friend smoked it.It knocked me right out.
When I woke up the sun was too.My friend said good morning.I looked around and there was 23 empty beer cans in the back and I had a half full beer in my cup holder.
That was probably the best knock out weed I’ve ever had.
Another friend brought back some weed from Nam.We burned a joint .We were aimlessly wandering around our small town for the better part of 8hrs.Laughing at the dumbest stuff.Almost like what happens when you eat a pile of mushrooms.
And in third place,original indica.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
