You can only keep an eye on the pests, but it maybe coincidental with the catepliklars but the leaves in the bud centre are dying, but you may also have bud rot. Treat and keep an eye on your buds if it is bud rot cut the impact buds and increase the air flow around the remaining buds.
@MattyBear or @garrigan62 @Covertgrower maybe able to help as I cant see the pics clearly.

If it is indeed bud rot, it cannot be reversed unfortunately. Best thing to do if it is bud rot is just cut the parts out that are rotting before it spreads. I would probably put it in a small greenhouse or enclosure that would prevent rain from getting on it. Also a dehumidifier placed in side to get the humidity down. In a pinch, putting a fan on it could help to keep it drier. It could be the caterpillars but appears like bud rot to me. I live in the southern US. That happens a lot out here. But hopefully your is the caterpillar problem you mentioned. If so, you picked good products.

Mix 1 teaspoon Neem oil and 1 teaspoon dish soap in a half gallon mister. Spray the plant ALL over. Under the leaves. Everywhere. Youāll see when you hit the places on the plant where bugs are. They will get off the plant real fast.

I have read if you use Neem oil just make sure it is ācold pressedā So far, keeping fingers crossed, I have not had the need to use it yet.
I tried to get as close as possibleā¦

Some kind of worm nest/sack or something? Beats me
It might not be a bad idea to cover the soil around the plant with D.E. just to cover crawling pests also.

No. Itāll heal on its own @NikkNyce. Home Depot is supposed to have food grade DE, but the people in the store had no idea what I was talking about so I went to a real garden center to get mine. I try to spend local to help them out, but you can get Food grade DE on Amazon for a decent price.
