I lift the pots to check how heavy they are when the soil is dry. I get used to what that feels like. If I’m not sure if they need water I pick up the pot and see if it feels light.
ahhhh okay that makes sense, I was already planning on giving them a watering break ill just add another day or two to it so it has the chance to dry out some. I was giving water around noon and 1am just enough to damp the top layer of soil and some of the roots and such as I said before due to being worried about it getting too hot in the garage. Will def give them some more wet dry cycle from this point going forward.
@RightAway
Hello RightAway , this par meter I’m thinking about getting like you tired of second guessing myself, but I always do anyhow but would you say it give the Apogee a run for the money? And those instructions that you mentioned that Ed Rosenthals are they on the forum?
I flipped the plants into 12/12 and I like to be sure on the lights and I might try that SOG Method again
This is the farthest Ive gotten so far and was wondering how close it is to harvesting. Girl Scout Cookie.
Welcome to the forum, plant looks nice. Its an auto i take it?
You got weeks to go though. You want to see all those white hairs turn brown/red, then your getting close. Id say 3 to 4 weeks left, just a guess. How old is the plant and when did it strat flowering. Count 8 to 10 weeks after first bud was formed. Even on an auto. The only thing shortened on an auto flowering plant is the veg time. They still need 8 to 12 weeks to finish flowering.
Yes, an auto. I can’t remember exactly how old but somewhere around 3 months. It started budding around a month ago. I didnt realize it took that long to harvest after budding but I’m really happy how it is looking. It’s the first one that’s made it this far.
Mj usually flowers for 8-12 weeks id say you have 4 to 6 weeks left
Ya, gotta be patient. I still have a hard time trying to wait for them to fully mature. But you gotta do it. She looks good. Id keep doing what your doing. Shes gonna make you drool by the end. So much fun
I would try to avoid watering the plant and stem. Moisture right on stem of plant can cause it to rot. And continual wster beads on leaves will damage them. Water around the plant so roots can take the water in. Algae alome won’t kill plants either. But if kept wet the roots won’t be able to get any oxygen and this will kill them eventually.
yeah I think that first one stopped getting oxygen cuz it just stopped growing after about 2 weeks and it wasn’t keeping up with the others even though it was the first one planted (by like 2-3 days before the others were planted)
Hi first time on this forum looking for help determining if I have bud rot. Multiple bud sites have a very small part turning brown.
This is my first time growing it is an auto and I’m growing outdoors I’m a high humidity area so I’m very stressed that this is bud rot.
She looks clean to me. Im sure others will chime in. I dont have the best eyes. But im not seeing any sign of bud rot.
Buds darken a bit as they ripen. Could be what im seeing
It’s not as visible in pictures but those darker spots are very brown and most of the buds are pure green
Ya, i hear ya. If it were me, and its the only spot you see, id cut it out with scissors. Bag it and get rid of it. Some might say spray with peroxide and water or pure crop1.
Id get a second a opinion though. @plumbdand any thoughts? I bet your outside enjoying this light show tonight.
Welcome to the forum @rclarke Thats looks like a tiny dead leaf not bud rot. Open the bud up at that spot and try to remove it. If it feels mushy like a over ripe banana its bud rot. Either way Id spray it with something. Peroxide and water mixed 25/75 will work. I use purecrop1 as a maintenance program but peroxide works as well. Dont freek out over every little brown spot. A single sugar leaf or a calyx dieing is not out of the ordenary. Do you have pictures of the whole plant. It could also be bug damage. Either way Id spray.
@anon98385745 I’m not familiar with the Apogee . The book by Ed Rosenthal is the Marijuana Growers Guide published in 1982. I long ago wore out the pages on my copy. I follow the teachings of Professor Bruce Bugbee from the University of Utah. There is a lot more research available today then ever before. Let me know if I can be of any help. Happy Growing
I don’t have a recent picture but I can go and take some later today. The plant looks very healthy to me it’s nearing harvest time. Both of my plant last year were photos and they got bud rot at the end of the season so that’s why I switched to autos to hopefully harvest earlier before most of the rain.
I don’t have the best microscope but I’m seeing mostly cloudy and very few amber. This is also the top bud site so I’m thinking a week or so and she should be ready. It’s about day 69 total.
How many days has it been flowering. Mj usually flowers for 8-12 weeks.
You bet thanks.
It’s been about 6 weeks of flower. I’m thinking maybe I should harvest the top half first and let the bottom buds mature some more as they look a little behind.
