I found this on a fallen tree in my woods. I’m hoping it isn’t too rotten from laying in mulch and groundcover, but I slammed it on the cement a few times pretty hard to knock off any bark and soft stuff. Letting it dry out.
Just don’t know which way to attack it.

We have tons of burled logs, up here. There’s even a shop in Salcha that sells various diameter burls, as well as diamond willows.
We have a nice burled trunk we’re working on installing as a new floor to ceiling support brace; currently, there’s just a plain log, there. Found it up at work. It’s got some crazy burls on it.
