Hi all I’m finally getting round to this journal thingy excuses right from the off its after 0400 here and I’m pretty sh
t faced but here goes.
Grow space dimensions: 40"x 22"x 62"high (very)
Filter and inline pump: AC infinity T4 with 69pro controller.
RAM filter 10"long with secondary homemade 12"cube filter in attic with 6x sheets of carbon impregnated filter media the type used for oven extraction units with one inch gap between each sheet.
:4"solid plastic ducting.
Lights: 2x spider farmer 100w LEDs, last year’s models with 301h Evo diodes,led drivers and dimmer units removed from backs of lights and cable extensions added to enable remote mounting outside grow space.
: micro aray 150(for flowering stage) this is a story on its own.
Fans and air circulation: 6"10speed programmable fan.
Growing medium:soil comprising off fine sieved loamey topsoil, very aged horse manure,coco coire:rinsed and pre charged with calmag, dried and powdered rabbit poo,worm castings, wood ash pumice,live worms,RHS myco mix used this for quite a few years it’s double the amount and half the price of cannabis specific brands and contains the same species plus some additional ones.
There’s a few other things in there too but it’s nearly 5am here and my brain has decided it’s going on strike.
Pot’s: have 5 and 8 gallon fabric pots/bags which I haven’t used before I also have 3 old air pots from previous grow box.any thoughts/ preferences please let me know.
Seeds: got a fair few to choose from recently bought ones:in last year: rqs sticky queen, gelato #44, cookies gelato, royal Highness, fruit spirit.
Older seeds (at least 7yrs old) purple urkle, double orange skunk, jack herrer, Alaskan thunder fCK.
80s and 90s seeds:a right mixture unfortunately they are all in an old 35mm film container old school stuff/ genetics as well as landrace seeds including Acapulco gold, Thai, Afghan, Keralan did pop 3 in soil about 7 years ago all came up and all female but only one was good strong plant decent buds and crop i think about 100gr the other two were decidedly MEH! Spindely weak plants with tiny buds but interesting to grow all the same, they’ve all been kept in the fridge in a Tupperware box for at least 23years be interesting experiment once I’ve got grow space sussed.
I’ve got a few things I hope you guys could help me with LEDs and coco coire in particular but it’s 5 am here so it’s bedtime for bonzo had photos to show youse but I hope you don’t mind me adding them tomorrow/well actually today as well as a few questions about LEDs/coco yep time to end it here just noticed I’m repeating myself.

Hello been really busy weekend had old friend visiting she’s now away back home so here’s some photos of where I’m currently at with new grow space
this is the door in place it’s double skinned with plasterboard facing into the room then behind that there’s a one inch gap between it and a three mil sheet of marine plywood the gap between is silicon sealed so the only air entering the grow area is thru the top vent (I’ll need to increase the size of vent don’t think this one will be large enough) the air then enters the grow area via several 2" pipes at the bottom of the door hopefully delivering fresh air straight to each plant, i could have made it easier but I thought I try something different.

Every time i see your thread title I “hear” it in the voice of groundskeeper Willie from the Simpsons.
The first photo is the filter and ducting as a retired engineer the collapsible ducting is quite inefficient about 10% loss in draw pressure for every 2to3ft and that’s when it’s pulled out tight if anyone is having difficulty with keeping air or smells thru filter you should try swapping to solid plastic ducting before going to expense of buying new inline pump it make a difference plus it’s quieter and is actually pretty easy to work with.
I’ve had to use a 90°bend to get air to the inline pump which is quite inefficient but I can negate this by leaving a minimum straight run of 24"between 90°bend and inline pump after this air is flows to a home made box filter which is in the attic which then vents to a vent slate in the roof.
I’ll be mounting led drivers to the wall in the upper area as well as dimmers and all mains powered equipment I’ve actually routed my mains supply down under the floorboards and connected it to the rear of a wall mounted socket in the bedroom so that once the door is finished and painted/decorated to blend in with the rest of the room, which will be redecorated afterwards (priorities important things first 
)aye I sound pretty paranoid but I’d rather not have a wee chap at the door because a workie saw or smelt something I’ve only really got final wiring up to do then it will be time for fun to begin I will post as I progress I have got a few questions for you guys regarding LEDs and Coco coire neither of which I have used before but I’ll put them up in the next addition to this journal both myself and the mutts require sustainable.thanks for reading my ramblings all, you all probably don’t know how much more pleasant and civilised this site is compared to others thanks again.

Nae problem inat yi no mate (certainly old chap) also is it yourself thats knowledgeable about led lights and drivers if so I’ve got a wee problem with a light I bought recently it’s a migro aray 150 it was only £52 a third of the original price, I knew there was issues with migro before I bought it but at that price it was worth the risk.on opening the box it seems fine and after giving it a good look over I was even more chuffed it’s one of the original batch so unlike the later batches it actually does have 301h evo Samsung diodes and osram red diodes, I checked on Samsung and osram web sites for sizes and measured with 0-25mm micrometer and both sites give good descriptions of what their diodes look like, that’s the good part, now the not so good
The driver has definitely been opened up and resealed, I reckon it’s one which has been returned, the light unit that is, they’ve probably “fixed"it and then when they went bust sold it, I don’t trust it although it does work and throws out a lot of light for such a small light average 889ppfd according to my pals fancy meter,in a 30"x30” tent, so I’ve been looking for a meanwell driver online but can’t find one that matches the specs on the driver it came with, any recommendations?or do you think it would be ok with the supplied driver, if you had it would you trust it as I’d rather replace it than risk burning down my house
Moral of this tale is don’t buy anything from an Irish man (bunch of chancing Arabs).
And I should know my grandfather was from Sligo 
I use a VIPARSPECTRA P2000, it’s a 240/250 watt light and seems to get the job done in my broom closet grow, it only has 4 settings 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, though those seem adequate.
@StevOz wow man I thought I was going wee, how do you find keeping climate in check, easier or more difficult? I used 420w CMH in last grow box 2x3x6ft Great light but the amount of electricity it used was ridiculous plus the bulbs only used to last a couple of grows, I was told it was because of small space it was used in so I decided to go modern (for me anyway) and got 2xspiderfarmer 100 w 301h Evo,s but when I saw the migro at that price I thought I give it a go.
@dbrn32 I’ll give that a go l should be up and running in the next week or so I had planned on popping a sticky queen seed from rqs (after sampling my pals bubble hash recently) and either a gelato 44 or a cookies gelato,@thisis40 is also getting a new grow space ready might be he’d be up for it (England Vs Scotland)that might be a good laugh 
It’s the middle of winter here, so temperatures are reasonable enough and the door is fully ventilated, with a 4 inch clip on usb powered fan clipped to the inside angled upward, no exhaust, it’s a matter of closing the laundry door as it’s smelling pretty funky in there!
@StevOz too much heat? definitely not a problem I expect to have during a Scottish winter 
biggest problem here is humidity cold air and over 90%humidity jings canny wait 
The two spider farmers would do great i think i have an spider farmers sf2000evo grew some nice plant in a 4x2 tent with it its 200 watts
@Crazy81 aye that’s what I thought but when I saw the price of the migro light and because it’s quite heavy on red spectrum I thought it might be handy to use it once I flipped then I could turn spiderfarmer lights down to about 40-50%and the migro to about 60%-70% when my pal and I tried this in his 4x2 his meter was reading average of, I think about 910 ppfd which sounded a lot for lights costing less than £230 combined and running at those % on the dimmers should help with longevity of lights plus I do like a wee bobby bargain so I got reeled in like a fish
