Weather & Friggen SQUIRRELS

Man…!!! Fried squirrel, rabbit, thin slice batter fried deer tenderloin, biscuit n gravy. If mom felt frisky we’d get it d’boned and in the biscuit. We were poor so maybe we just didn’t have the money for flour that week.

Thats right up my alley, but if I start shooting, the neighbor or game warden may want to see whats going on. Deer season here.

Squirrels have a season that is open in most places now. A 22 caliber pellet rifle makes less noise. In my experiences wood rats are worse but Squirrels can be, especially if you have seeds in your buds.

Its the season of the termite here.

If I was just hunt’n squirrels it wouldn’t be an issue.
I don’t like the squirrels here though, they eat so many of our pecans while the pecans are green, it changes the taste of the squirrel, they’re awful.

Unless I’m mistaken Mo. cultivation laws are the best. For the wife and I combined, three different heights, 12 in each height category. Makes for a fairly simple perpetual grow, with enough for edibles to boot. At least for us.

Howdy old friend. Do the termites attack your buds? I see them buzzing around sunset around here. They only seem to be interested in my firewood pile.

They get the roots and slowly kill them. Cayanne pepper saved a few

Dang… raining for 3 days and mid to upper 60’s to low 60’s upper 50’s at night. No sun for 4 days.

This is why I’m going indoors.

I guess I cheat a little though, when the rains start I put them in a pole barn where they can get ambient light, but out of the rain. They’re in planter boxes which I pick up with the tractor to put in the barn. Kinda feels like cheat’n after a couple of fights with bud rot… but I’ll take it.
