I use this vornado humidifier put a 90° elbow on top and blow it towards the tents like a swamp cooler yet with the house AC vent in the room keeps my tents and 80,82 have to move the 90 at lights out though or the humidity gets way too high in the tent
I call it Tent Tetris lol, I have 6 different strains in one tent, I’m constantly rearranging, a net wouldn’t work for me as I like to be in there bending and fluffing them
Just had my first experience with a Hermie, so another reason why I’m glad I didn’t put up a net. Your plants look lovely tho, lush and full in there, Good job!
My setup is in the basement in the area without an ac duct so mine runs warm and humid. Im currently looking into the ac infinity fans. The specs and reviews are looking pretty good!
I like how you enjoy the variety as well as I do! Ive purchased quite a few during the sales and I still havent finished up with my first grow ![]()
im like that as well, I like to shuffle the top layer of dirt with my hands every few waters to keep everything loose. I turn the lights down to 10% and do my thing in the tent! But I appreciate it! So far they seem to be doing good. I got my fingers crossed, flower season is right around the corner for them!
Lol I bought 3 Mix packs in May:laughing: I’m in the basement as well, first time indoors. I used to have condensation dripping down the walls inside the tent before I got a dehumidifier and ACinfinity now it’s 72-76°F and 56-70%h depending on lights on/off. Except for the Hermie and a giant spider it’s been going great, 24 days into flower ![]()

I was actually looking into the ac infinity fans as well! The 8 series with the digital display seems like it would suit my needs. Any thoughts? I have a 120x60x78
That spider could call for a co2 flood to hopefully flush it out, im no fan of spiders
! I am definitely enjoying this indoor grow though, the work Im having to put in will make the end results all the sweeter.im not sure how much of the thread youve read, but I did start an outside grow shortly before this indoor. It was bag seeds that I threw in miracle grow, overcrowded in small pots, transplanted three times, and thought well see where they go. Wouldnt you know it i still had to pick which ones I wanted to keep and which I had to let the earth have back. Ill attach a picture, im still in shock from how far theyve come. No training, and watering has been it. Wasnt going to give nutes at all until I saw theyre actually going somewhere so in slowly introducing bergmans flowering nutes.
I am not by any means an expert on HVAC or electrical (you can see my grow journal for proof of that lol) so I’d defer to others on here who are but so far I’m really happy with my AC Infinity 6, not sure if it’s the S or T model but I have the control panel and I’ll be able to add another to it for my veg tent eventually. That unit combined with my dehumidifier has really stabilized the basement climate and we’ve had nothing but rain this summer. I still think the biggest game changer was the 2” foam board under the tents so it insulates from the cement floor.
Im in the same boat, so much rain this year. Ive been able to help with the heat and humidity by keeping a flap open on the tent here and there. I wont be able to do that now, I flipped them to flower so I cant lose any prescious light to a zipper being open. Im using leds and I keep seeing mixed reviews. People say they arent strong enough, and some say they wish they would have made the switch years ago.
Now as far as the styrofoam, its just a 2 inch thick hunk cut to shape? No issues with sturdiness or anything?
AC infinities are great I have one 6-in for each tent and one for a spare very nice fans
If you’ve got good LEDs that’s pretty much the new standard for growing they will smoke anything else out there a little more upfront cost but big power savings much better spectrum✌️
What size tents are you using the 6’s in? Its the only set ive owned, but these lights seem to be pretty strong. I know on a watering day when they were smaller, I forgot to turn them down to 10% brightness before going in which I always do so I dont get blinded. They were at 70% and I couldn’t make it past 10 minutes i felt like I was getting sunburn. My skin is clearly different from the plants but im hoping that scenario speaks to their strengths. I didnt want to deal with trying to control the heat being put off by the other lights already being in a basement, so led was my way even if it meant smaller yield. Which im hoping isnt the case but only time will tell.
I have them in a 3X3 and a 4x4 the lights cranked up to about 640 watts 4x 4 gets a little warm have the fan about three quarters cranked up although I do have both fans into a y pipe and one 6 inch wall cap probably restricts flow a little bit but other than that they’re very nice fans very quiet with a little bit of fan work circulating around the room still keeps the tent around 82,83°pretty ideal for led lights
Yeah you don’t want to be in the tent without glasses you’ll end up with eye damage get you some method sevens they’re a little pricey but well worth it what lights do you have you definitely won’t end up with smaller yields from LED I had two plants in my 3x3 tent last pro got 15 oz of nice dense bud
Do you think the 8 series would be enough for my tent (10x5x6’6") or would I be better off getting the 10? And I have 10 of the maxsisun pb1000. I wanted the ability to move them instead of one big panel since I knew I was doing a bunch of different strains and would be facing many different heights.
My understanding with the exhaust fans is you want more than what you need so you can dial it back and not have to run it at full power. My 6” is in a 5x5 tent and I haven’t had to run it higher than speed 4, so it stays nice and quiet. One time I was using my foliage tea as a spray and misting away inside the tent and the sensor kicked it up to speed 10 for a few minutes, so I know the sensor works well!
The foam board is from Lowe’s, 2” Dow board, I got 2 pieces and cut it and duck taped it to the size I needed for under the tents. It’s perfect for what I needed, you can stand on it, anything small or sharp will leave divots, like if you put a chair on it and sat down it would leave impressions of the legs.
That sounds like an ideal investment for me, ill be making a trip to either lowes or hd here soon!
As far as the fans, ill definitely have to read more about each to see which one id be better off with. Like you said more is better but I dont want to go overkill, especially with the 100$ price difference! Every hobby I enjoy always cost a good penny haha. First glance at that picture and I was wondering who swapped out my big tent for some smaller ones!
Lol that’s a 5x5 and a 3x3. I could really use a 4x4 for veg or another 5x5 but nobody except Gorilla makes short ones! Wish they’d stop discriminating against basement growers! ![]()
I just looked into them and I didnt realize gorilla made such a short option. I guess thats a definite plus, especially for your setup! What height are you limited too? I feel the same way as you though, I could definitely use another tent solely for flowering. Ill wait on that though until I finish my first grow haha
So these are pictures of the plants in have outside. Do those flowers seem a little far along for the time of year? Or are the outer ones always like that while the ones beneath are still lacking any amber?
Yes. For several reasons including actual age of the trichomes and exposure to the elements.
