I applied Organics Alive V-N Soluble (10-2-2) along with OA Grow Liquid at proper rates per their old feeding chart a couple weeks ago and this coloration occurred. Have only used RO water in the living soil bed since this occurred.
Any ideas what is going on here?
Iron def showing. Probably being caused by the soil pH too high. I’m dismissing the RO as cause here since outside.
If your only source of water is RO it will strip cal and mag from your soil.
Recommend an add for the water. I use Bushdoctor.
I suggest a basic and non stressfull start. Add 2 tblspoon horticulture epsom salt. Just top dress it around bottom of plants and water.
Wait a few days. See if uptake of nutrients increases. If not then look deeper..PH.. etc.
I alway suggest simple, non-invasive repairs before major stress inducing fixes.
MAG is VERY VERY important to uptakes and moving nutes through the plants. Goes hand in hand with calcium. Short 1..the other reacts.
Just my thoughts. Some calcium wont hurt a bit either.
Also, look for improvement in new growth. Damaged leaves will not recover.
Absolutely. if the mag works the new stuff up top will come out nice and green. Not sure it is PH with it just hanging out around the top. I have found that is usually a mobile problem. Not being carried well and showing on new vegetation. The next symptom will be when she starts eating her fans to feed new growth. Will slow it down.
Just my thoughts.
