Veg and Bloom settings on lights

Is it a gradual change or just one day boom 12/12 on lighting.

This is what I currently have going.

I just flip them, however coming from 18/6, I gave her extra dark time for the transition.

The timer I bought seems to be off about 3-4 hours a day so if I set it to 12/12 it’s actually getting about 14/14 would that be ok for my bloom room?

From what I understand in order to bloom, the plants need 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness.

This is my new veg room. I plan to use my old room for a bloomroom.
