Hello community I’m new to the grow. And have a ton of questions on every aspect of growing. First off I’m just starting my first grow and on my lights it has a veg and Bloom setting. Obviously I use veg for the grow cycle of the plant. My question is in a couple more weeks when I get to the blooming do I use both veg and Bloom setting on my lights or just the bloom setting? See I kinda want my plants to continue to grow some while blooming. But don’t want to take away from the flower. I realize this being my 1st grow it’s probably doomed to failure but I’m trying. Welcome to the community ! turn both on. Personally I would turn both on now. You need all the wattage that light will pull. Your plant looks good. ---

Ok thank you both for the information I turned on both switches. I’m currently growing in a 30x36 closet. I have also lined the walls with mylar to reflect lost light. The light is a 1200w wakyme led. I have it about 2 feet above my plants. Occasionally when I need to work on my setup I take them outside for so e real light. Is that good or bad? I also put a My CO2 bag in the closet. I’m using cloth pots rested about 3 inches off the floor to allow proper ventilation and drainage. I know several people on here don’t like the nutes I’ve bought but after $300 I’m not changing them. Can’t afford to. I growing for my own personal use but want the BEST I can produce. I have 3 plants the one pictured is a master kush. I have a Ethos Glue and a blue diamond sprout. I’ll include pictures of all of them. And I have one growing outside that was an accidental. I was planning my garden while enjoying a burn and guess I tossed a seed. Boom there she stands like 5 ft now I’ll add a picture of her later she’s just growing El natural ---

I agree with what they said above. From my experience, using only the veg light wasn’t putting out enough lights for my plants even when they were pretty low, causing them to stretch, they stopped stretching when i turned the bloom lights on also. Good luck with your grow! ---

When you say turn on both, if we have a light that we can do one or the other, in veg which would you flip… I have flipped to bloom adds deep red spectrum ---

@Rustolium420 You should be able to turn the veg blue Spectrum on and the red Bloom Spectrum if so turn them both on . You have a nice big plant now turn both spectrums on. If your light will only do one or the other and you have flipped to flower you need to do the bloom switch Red Spectrum. ---

Yes I plan on upgrading my lights. It’s about 10x15. Nice tent 4x4 space The HLG 260 watt v2 R-Spec XL kit. Two of these lights would be a great choice for your space. I’m running two of them in the same size space. very happy ! You won’t be disappointed .I like the flexibility of two lights instead of one big light. Stay safe and good luck ---

Do I use just the bloom setting when I want them to start blooming or do I just change the timing? Currently running 16 light 8 dark. ---

Changing your lights On/Off cycle will force it into flower ---
