Vcure drying and grove bag curing..?

I just got my vcure, pretty stoked even tho my girls are only probably week three flower. I have super lemon haze in ground. 4 plants 7ft in a 16ft line. I just applied a horizontal mesh trellis earlier today… anyway i am curious what is the best way to deal with this large harvest i will have. I have the vcure and a tent i am making into a dry tent. My biggest problem will be room temperature. Very hard to get to 60. I belive i can get two window ac units in the room. I have can fans and clip fans. So im thinking of attempting to stagger the harvest have the vcure dry what it can while i tent dry what i can. Then put dry product in Grove bags to cure in the same room because that will have the lowest temp. Then eventually storing all material in the vcure storage. This is my plan. Any advise or does it seem like it should be somewhat decent to save the terps? Any way better to handle medium harvest with top shelf results? It is almost impossible to have my house at 60 degrees so storage is difficult.

I do not have a vcure, but I do have a couple Cannatrols. If my harvest is really big…
I stagger the harvests as much as I can…even multiple harvests on the same plant.

The Cannatrol dries in 4 days and cures in 4 days so 8 days total (curing meaning shelf stable) so I let the buds dry for 4 days…take them out and let them cure in Grove bags so I can load up the next batch and have 4 day cycles instead of 8 day cycles.

I sometimes let the plants hang overnight to lose a little weight then trim them and put in the cannatrol…so I can get more into the units.

…and as a last resort I wet trim them and put in a temporary dry space and dry them conventionally and then cure them in Grove bags.

Great problem to have…too much weed

Grove Bags or Giant Mason Jars for storage and you’re set. I use a Cannatrol for dry/cure and then toss them in jars or bags for long term storage.

Im curious, is the end results far superior when using the dry/cure machines compared to the last ditch efforts using the conventional methods? Im debating another machine even tho i haven’t been able to use the one yet.

Also after you cure in the bags if using the machines for only drying. How do you choose to store the fi ished product? Possibly for long term

I think a well executed dry and cure is what matters and can be done multiple ways. I just like the hassle free aspects of the machines.

I do store in the Cannatrol unless I just have too much to fit, then I store in Grove Bags.

I feel like the energy efficiency is a major Factor also, compared to controlling the entire environment of a room or tent. So much cheaper and efficient, depending on time of year and your own environmental circumstances but overall just seems better :100:

I run my Cannatrol for 7 days drying, although if after 4-5 days I’m not getting any moisture in the catch tray I will manually switch to cure. Cure I run for 10 full days. I haven’t touched any of the preset parameters other than the amount of days for dry/cure. Like I stated above after the cure in the machine depending on how much product I have I’ll use jars or the cure bags. I’ve never run into super long term storage as I give a lot to friends and family so by the time the next plant is ready I’m down to an ounce or so.

Definitely make sure you calibrate v cure with a trusted probe. My first batch over dried. V cure was saying it was at 62% rh it was actually at 56%. Temp ranges where fine. Ill be doing next bact in a few weeks dont use quick dry cycle betteroff making your own recipe. .

Ive been using a couple different cheao standard hydrometers to monitor RH and it seems to be about spot on or jusr a degree or two off in certainl spots on the various levels of racks so i think it is calibrated well :100: i worry more about the bulk amount in my dry tent for the first time and then long term storage in the grove bags and probably transition to jars eventually. But i have the equipment i need to basically :100: control the environment

I thought the same until my first batch over dried. When i put an ac infinity probe in unit ac probe read 55% while machie read 63%. I honestly would not trust a cheap hydrometer.

I tested the v cure out and the readings are on point :backhand_index_pointing_right:

I used a couple different brands and many of them. Very happy i did not need to gine tune anything

A large amount of my harvest will have to be dried in my dry tent which i very recently put together and think i have it dialed in pretty good. But i plan on tent drying then switching to grove and similar bags to put into the v cure to cure and store eventually once i get through the whole harvest. I and trying to stagger but also trying to battle some bud rot and let these girls go another week or two. The test buds i put in the tent yesterday seem to be doong well

I plan on heat sealing dry product in grove and similar bags then putting into vcure for curing and storage

I got a vivison wood moisture checker to check the inside moisture levels. The tent buds and vcure are dry. The v cure has started the curing phase. I need to put the bud into the grove and similar bags so i can test against future flower. And before it gets to dry, at least in the tent.
