Thats a good looking patch of corn my friend. We Hillbillies have a good eye for corn, it was an essential crop for us after all. When I was just a boy my papaw took me to the old home place He grew up at, it was about 5 or 6 miles back in the mountains and all that was left of the place was the old chimney and a field that hadn’t been plowed in almost a century. They were moonshiners, outlaws, poor mountain folks who took what they had and made it work. Let me share with you a little real history about this country and the real reason prohibition was enacted. Spoiler it has nothing to do with “public safety” and everything to do with why it takes $497 bucks everytime you fill up your gas tank. When we look at what moonshine we not only see a tasty beverage but an alternative fuel source that had the potential to compete with the Rockerfellers new oil economy that was taking over. Sad truth ![]()

I knew of this.
The technology and ability to produce and use alcohol for burning in the automotive industry has been around a while. It was buried by the rich back around the 40- 50’s if I remember correctly.
The money that was formed out if oil was so great so fast, it gave those in charge the ability to to do away with the newly born alcohol base fuel.
Went quite.
Truth is, alcohol is very invasive to certain materials. Not sure it would not of bottle capped the industry.
Now electromagnetics is cutting into the oil industry, takin over as the new front runner.
Interesting tip.
Magnetism is the one topic that was not mentioned much in our history . But yet it drives all modern technology. I find it intriguing to know it was never mentioned in the Jewish historical book that runs our world.
If I remember correctly and that’s a big if lol, I believe the first mention of it was around 600 BC or so they knew lodestones were attracted to each other and Iron but didn’t start to even understand it until the 1600 to 1800s AD doing experiments and writing hypothesis. Or so they say,
I for one believe the ancients were much wiser than they give them credit for myself but since theres not any defenitive evidence proving any of this the main stream archeologist will never admit to anything outside of the status quo. And so History is written by the victors and truth gets buried. ![]()
Oh now Hillbilly. You done figured out I will talk and have an opinion ![]()
I have an opinion on this, if I may.
Wisdom has always reside among men. It is Knowledge that has been on the increase. Knowledge is like a snow ball. Once it gets rolling the bigger it gets. The bigger it gets the faster it gets bigger. Such is Knowledge.
We are alive in time frame where Knowledge has snowballed bigger than wisdom. And the use of wisdom is rarely exercised.
Knowledge is now used by humans to guide their lives. Accessing the web, asking AI. Information everywhere.
Wisdom has to be earned through time. Knowledge is bought. The richer a person is, the more information access the hold.
Do I agree wisdom was greater in the past. You bet.
How are you today? @VaHillbilly
Just getting ready for work, I have a second job I work on the weekend’s / holiday’s for Virginia Tech. Well for their Biomedical research facility anyways. I work in the Neurological developmental department where we scan the brains of sleeping infants to see how the brain develops and to see if their are any correlation between that and environmental factors they have been exposed too. Really cool stuff thats helping alot of mommas and babies around here in the far sw part of the state. How’s you day going so far?
Or just cut the power….![]()

The type of research this study is doing will be invaluable in the fight trying to end addiction. Maybe tell us why some people can use opiates once and become addicted while others do not. If we can see the mechanisms that are involved, we can map them, understand them, then we can correct them and stop the scourge of addiction permanently. This study is a first of its kind, a decade long project that follows Momma & Babies from before birth thru to their 10th birthday.
I ordered me a 4 x 8 tent to get me trough this flowering. This should give me room to let the ladies spread out a little. Still gonna be a full house.
True story.
Two brothers were interviewed with the same question. Why and how do you think you are as you are today?
The two brothers lived in New York. One was a man of status working at Wallstreet. A multimillionaire by far. The other brother was a homeless man on the streets of New York beggin for food.
Discreetly and separately they were both asked the same question. “Why and how do you think you are as you are today?”
Ironically both men gave the exact same answer. They stated, it because my dad i am this way.
The quick answer is, its all the parents fault.
I have learned a few things in my life over the years, with my 9th grade formal education and a never ending thirst for curiosity, oops forgot to add the can do attitude . Lol One of them being that when we have a major tragedy happen in our lives we can either let it wound us and take a victimhood mentality which eventually defeats us or we can let it make us wise and use all that hurt and all that pain to rise up and beyond our circumstances and help pull others up out of it as well as you go. Or at least thats what I have done to find peace in this evil place my friend.![]()
