Couldn’t have said that any better @GROWWIZARD420 bc of all the elements but I’m learning and like you were saying, by trial and error. I’ve been keeping the tent anywhere from 55-60RH AND 70(f) roughly and still seems like they are drying to quick(also have a 12v big laptop fan hooked up facing/blowing towards the opposite wall). I’m enjoying it minus the overthinking and worrying lol…on a plus note, I did try some of it last night and it was pleasant to say the least! Cut the other four down tonight and I’m hanging them completely upside down and not Trimming first so will definitely see!
Ok guys I’m sorry, I need some if that much appreciated advice yet once again. Ok, I have my my ac inf. 4x2 tent setup with one little 5x5”(approx)fan that I took out of a laptop hooked to a 12v supply on the floor of the tent 4-5” from the side wall that it also the direction the exhaust is traveling; does nice. I have ac running and venting open enough on the tent for intake with a humidifier/dehumidifier plugged in and on standby. The temperature/humidity on the tents left is (93%)most averaging hourly is 69.4f/54%RH & Right side, 70.1f/55%RH. Now my question is why are my gals drying(feeling almost dry/crispy) within 3-3.5 days and also there not sticky at all, well most but most are really different when broken down too? Curing in the same tent in 16oz masons with bov 62%rh 2way pks and even threw in mini hydrometers and 6 out of 7 of their averages is 62-64rh/72-74f; any tips or any combination of my setup not being fully compatible with itself plz shoot them at me. Thank you always, mike
@Hellraiser @Mr_Wormwood @GreenSnek @
Outside will always get pretty crispy don’t worry unless when you bend a small branch and it snaps, its the core rh that we re trying to get to a certain level so that when we jar them everything evens out so it’s all equally 62% rh
Ok gotcha @GreenSnek and I did forget to mention that the branch, in which it’s buds are attached to(main arms coming out of the center stalk) doesn’t break but the ends of its arm(s) and the actual little stem that attaches the bud to side arm does both snap pretty easy but not brittle. They look frosty butt they’re not sticky and being known for the “white” hairs and all was making me think they did in fact dry to quickly. Have you heard or yourself ever put the ww in complete darkness for 48hrs before cutting it? Supposed to throw itself heavily with extra protection of trichomes Bc of winter ahead? Thanks a lot, mike
PS THERE ARE 4 left to cut
Sounds like they’re really close I’d trim them and jar them and measure the rh . Worst case scenario just get a baking tray line the bottom with parchment paper and dry them more on the tray if the rh in the jars are higher then 63%. I always do 2 days of darkness helps them build up terps and clear out toxins. Also no ripe pot should have white hairs unless they’re foxtails
Cool and man does that fill in the gaps @GreenSnek. I will definitely do the brief period darkness and keep an eye on the Rh. I’m excited to see the difference in the last 4 like that and the first 7 for sure!
What @GreenSnek said.
@GreenSnek @Hellraiser @Mr_Wormwood Ok guys one last time for y’all’s well appreciated and beneficial advice…so do they look ready or wait a few more? I’ve checked the trichomes and “kinda” used the pistil colors but doesn’t seem more on the line accurate but just an assurance when your already assured to the trichome method…anyways I’m saying all this Bc look at picture number it is good looking but she Has a lot of her pistol still white and I know they have trichomes that have several amber color already in the bubble tip but the
smaller bud sugar leaves, big fan leaves not much worth my time on that specifically Bc I smoke to much lol…
Looks just about done to me all the white pistols are foxtails ,and if your seeing amber on budsites thats a confirmation they’re done to me
Looks ready
How are the trichomes looking?
Because that’s what really tells you how ready she is
Yes @Mr_Wormwood, I’ve Been looking at them twice daily and after taking the plant away from under the grow light, they sometimes, when it gets darker earlier; I can see it in a great amount but only at a very small angle. They are there in noticeable ways but doesn’t seem to go All the way up and down through the trichome, just the top bulb.
Thats what I was stuck on I remember fox tails but didn’t bing my mind and glad I got the reminder Bc I should’ve seeing the pistols in its whole. Thanks so much again @GreenSnek & @Mr_Wormwood @Hellraiser and the last 4 are going down when I make it home from work…happy harvest! Mike
Yeah looks good for chopping.
