No kidding! That was one of the main reasons why I started to grow myself. Couldn’t afford the top shelf prices. Way too expensive but that’s what I want so I guess I have to do it myself

You can still chop up to 5 to 6 weeks into flower… just don’t ever take more then one 3rd of the whole plant at one time… should be good to go…

Just curious when you say a little, do you mean like maybe 3 or 4 little scrawny/long branches at a time? Or like three or four little scrawny bud sites towards the middle of the plant? Is that sort of what you mean? In general, I try to never do more than 5 snips on 1 plant at a time.

Hello @Countryboyjvd1971 I have a grow journal on my YouTube channel which shows my start and where I am now. trying to figure out how to get it here to the journal/forum so all can see my progress I’m not saying i’m a pro but by the videos you can clearly see I’ve improved…But like I always do I credit my work/progress from what I’ve learned from the forums and other growers videos…If you like you can visit my channel and look at the “my very first indoor grow” videos and if you know how to get it onto this site that would greatly be appreciated. It’s a feeling almost. I take a few leaves and if they it’s a bud site I don’t want I’ll take out, But always on moderation
My last grow was three Green Crack plants and if you let your plants veg. long enough you may end up doing what I did and cut away. I cleaned up the bottom pretty good and removed quite a few smaller branches. It takes me long enough to harvest these plants by myself and it isn’t worth my time for so much popcorn buds. Like I said it all depends on how large you let the plant veg. I didn’t suffer any stress from cutting all those branches and I still netted just shy of 3.5 pounds of dried buds. Size does matter. lol

I let mine veg for 6 weeks so it wasn’t super long but they’re bushy and you approx few feet tall. I’d go measure them but it’s lights out at the moment.
When my gold leaf arrives I’m going to try and do what you did and veg them for maybe a couple of months? , yours look great. Nice job. Thanks for the response and happy growing.

I like to make bubble hash with my ice hash bags so I don’t mind some sugar leaves and popcorn buds but like you I do all the trimming and everything by myself. So less to cut off the better is how I see it.

Thanks @neckNflu I grow hydro and have and ebb and flow system and this system just makes my plants look like I know what I’m doing.lol Keeping everything in check with the PPM and PH and correct feeding schedule will produce huge harvests. I ended up with the 3.5 pounds and I don’t know how much I handed out that was the smaller buds still on the branches that I just didn’t want to clean up. I have a journal going and if you want to follow along you’ll probably see that I’ll be doing the same here but this time I decided to only grow two.

When I start my next grow I’m going to start my first Journal even though it may not be with the gold leaf. Just not sure when those will arrive, and I have some clones of a plant I want to really get to know. I only had a couple copies of their mom and I feel like I sort of flubbed my way through them as we speak. Haha happy growing and take care. I’ll talk to you soon going to go check out your Journal.
