Top Cola Advice To top? Or Super Crop?

Yea aeration … “messing up” the top 1-2 inches of the soil to kinda work in the amendments and help them establish….and if you’ve done some top dressing with dry amendments just check the packaging on the time frames of feeding cause those can vary greatly depending brand and stage of plant life you’re using them for….just be careful aerating because you could potentially hit your root structure by going too deep

Ultimately I would say with the nutes and amendments you’re using…don’t stop until the plant tells ya…if it ain’t broke don’t fix it it right?

Again your plants look great homie I think you’re onto something that is working for you in your climate…stick with it and adjust in minor ways…to get serious about it you can always check phs/ppms of all solutions you give before hand so you know they will be even happier since you didn’t overload them…

Just watch your leaves at this point you’re ready to start some buds :sunglasses::facepunch:t2:

@grizZz so what would these leaves tell you? Over watering? Or nut issue?

They tell me they’re just old…possibly splashed…nutes are spot on (see the tips…that’s juuuust right)

Figured I’d give a little update since super cropping the two main colas from topping and LST the rest of side branches to bring everything to all around the same hight. I super cropped the two main branches and for science purposes. I super cropped all the smaller branches along one side. On the other branch that I super cropped I left all the smaller branches alone. To have them turn up on their own. Very interested in seeing the difference in bud size and density one side versus the other.
And yes I know she looks droopy. The sun is going down here. When I got home from work this afternoon all her fans were reaching for the sky. Even though today and tomorrow are back in the high 9os the soil is still pretty wet and was goi g to let it ride for one more day. Unlike what I did all summer and gave her at least gallon a night. According to my research I’ve been way overwatering. Learning as I’m going here.

Don’t forget the message # you just posted for that update….you might need it later if you forget what you did to what side…

They look friggin awesome…how’s the bugs been there?

@grizZz not really sure Bout the whole #outdoor thing. Maybe I just figured it out. I dunno. But anyway. Bugs have been ok no real issues. I have her surrounded by tomato plants which I planted lemon balm in every one of their pots. I also companion planted her with basil in the same fabric pot. I know it supposed to help with growth but pretty sure it’s supposed to help with pests as well. All summer I’ve been giving her a neem oil bath pretty much every seven days. I’ve felt with mites before on previous indoor grows never want to see them buggers again. Also I seem to have a healthy population of lady bugs in the area which have seemed to help as well. But back to the neem. I’m thinking about straying away from it as I come into flower. I recently ordered aloe Vera x200 granules. And it sounds like a good idea to switch over from what I’ve been reading.
@Dforce @MidwestGuy @Packof3 Any guys have any input or expertise on Aloe?

I just recently learned neem is safe during flower just don’t drown your buds and make sure to wash them after the chop :sunglasses::facepunch:t2:

Ok I was listening to a podcast or growcast as they call it I believe I’d have to double check. But anyway I guess it’s one of them controversial subjects. I believe the aloe has pesticide benefits along with nute as well like a win win to me. Actually I think you can mix them together into the foliar spray. But I may be completely wrong. @grizZz

It would not surprise me at all if aloe has properties of this nature….

As far as your plant is concerned if it’s working (what you’re doing now) I wouldn’t change it at this point…

Try the aloe on a different grow homie … the unknown doesn’t make the risk to reward justified if you don’t have first hand experience….ya know? And I wouldn’t just trust some dood on a podcast neither but this is just me…it’s better to be safe than sorry

Harder to get much safer than neem anyhow

True I hear what your putting down. But definitely didnt base my opinion off one dude. Haha. And definitely don’t really want to change to much. I’m just trying to slowly stray away from the sulfates.

Right right….organic is the way to grow in my humble opinion….

This stuff is better than molasses i think…but I still used it with this stuff to keep the microbes happy…actually just finished off my jar of molasses and haven’t planned to replace it

Sounds like good bugs have your back lol, as for aloe, I’ve been reading about it as well, haven’t tried yet. Neem is good, also Azamax. Once the buds start fatting up the tricombs pretty much keep most bugs away. But being outdoors you can’t keep them all away.

Dude aphids love sugar leaves it’s unreal :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Interesting, not in my neck of the woods, at least not as of yet.

I will be watching though.

@grizZz @Dforce So aloe showed up yesterday in the mail. Put together a batch for a foliar spray as it was time for my weekly neem treatment as well. From what I read you could combine the both. Anyway my normal neem as been two tablespoons per gallon. I also added a tablespoon of aloe 200x gel. Anyway got home from work this afternoon and there’s a white residue on some but not all of the leaves. Before I freak and with all the possibilities of what it could be. Ever hear of

a foliar sprays leaving a residue behind. It’s not sticky not dusty or fuzzy. I can wipe it off with my finger tips. But seems I need to up the neem ratio. Starting to find critters that haven’t been there all summer. Figured I’d throw up here before posting in another thread.

@grizZz feel like I jinxed myself ever since you asked me about my bug situation. Literally next day I feel like they started showing. Haha.

Lol nah they were there they just really good at hiding and that’s a baby cicada…

I’ve never used neem or aloe but ya might wanna not mix them next time just based on the residue…

If it’s oily it will prolly end up helping with the bugs but be aware it might suffocate some leaves and they might yellow…

To counter this or to try and rid this of your leaves without having to wipe the entire thing down leaf by leaf I would suggest kinda misting them as if it were raining in the evening if you think it’s gonna be an issue…just gotta watch em when experimenting with mixtures and spraying the leaves cause it’s risky

If you can find one of these and put it on your plant it will help a lot

Baby jumping spider

Funny you say that. I had tons of them spiders all over. I feel like the heat killed them off. @grizZz
