Tokerpokers Widows

Hi folks, thanks for stopping by. I guess this will be a record of my first grow. I’m not much of a sharer about myself so I debated long and hard about doing this and honestly had decided not to, but after reading several threads with people opening up about their problems and seeing the responses, I decided if I was ever going to share this new hobby it would be here. I’ve been here about 22 days and read everything I could in that time trying to learn. Now, without going into my problems ( which everyone has in some form or another ) I will say this, if you’re one of those who opened up, wish you could or responded to them, I see you. I hear you. I feel you. Now enough of that, let’s try to grow some weed!

My setup:

2x4x5 Green Hut Tent
Spider Farmer SF2000
2 6" clip on fans
1 Box fan
1 oscillating fan coming soon
Older humidifier
DIY Hillbilly A/C
1 Potforpot 5 gal kit
1 old square plastic planter approx 4-5 gal with organic promix from wallyworld
Pair of ph and tds testers
Tap water set out to de-gas ph 7.8 from tap
2 ILGM White Widow Autos ( Born sometime overnight )
Bergmans Nutes

Pics to follow ( If I can do it):

You are off and running @Tokerpoker

Depending upon what your expectations are and how large your plants get, you may need more light to bring two plants to flower with good yields.

Hey Merlin, thanks for stopping by.
I don’t have many expectations, more hopes I guess. Just wanted to get my feet wet and see if I can grow one. I got 20 seeds and didn’t wanna chance just popping one so we’ll see if I can keep two alive. lol
Besides that I know if I grew one i’d just have to try two next time, so might as well get it over with. Really appreciate the input though :+1:

Thanks, I can see that. Glad to have you along!

Off to a good start Growmie. Welcome to the Canna-Fam and if you have any questions just ask there’s always a friendly grower to help  The spider farmer sf-2000 was the first led that I ran and had good luck with it.

Thanks man, appreciate it! Good to know on the light, I researched all I could at my starting budget (maxed out) and that’s what I got to start.

I feel you on starting budget. The wifey and I had daily fights about my budget but after smoking on what come from that light she has never complained since.

I heard that. My problem is, mine can’t smoke (work) so that adds a degree of difficulty.

:person_facepalming: dang it but definitely understand that. Keep up the good fight and grow on my friend. P.S. it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission :joy::joy::rofl:

Not really, I enjoy watching weed grow. Everyone grows it differently.

Day 2 Update:
Gave the girls their first nap after roughly 24 hours above ground, about 4 1/2 hours. I know there’s varying opinions about it probably but what do you guys think, round the clock light right now or a good nap? Doing the newbie tug of war on watering too… Pods feel slightly damp so I just dripped a couple drops on outside top of pods, spritzed inside of dome and let em go.
Both already have 4 leaves!
Lighting about 27" on 50% as per Spider Farmer recs. Does this sound good to you guys? Especially you @DoneDeal cause I know you’ve used the SF2000.

I am along for the show! One small tidbit of advice is to cut of the netting on the peat pod before transplant.

My best to you!

Looking good growmie. Definitely get rid of the nets like @JaneQP said. Don’t spray the plant just around it with a spray bottle with about 10-15 pumps. I run a 18/6 cycle for seedlings and veg. If they start getting leggy lower the light. I put my light at 12-15 inches away on 50% power also.
