Tortoise shell colored cats are pretty close to a calico only no white and males are sterile also…
Wife rescued one a year back and the silly feline has become mine…how I don’t know…I like cats but they don’t like me…this cat sits beside me at the computer on top of my printer and talks to me…lol
Okay yes because we have a place here in Cambridge call Blackcatrescue.com which I support and endorse that type would fall into one of their rescues (any cat with black) black cats are 50% less likely to be adopted because of the Associated stigma (I imagine)

I have 6 cats on the farm, all from the shelter so they are already fixed. They line up on the back porch where two heat lamps are hung for them. They get whatever we have for dinner plus they have a dry food dispenser and water. They occasionally bring in a rat from the barn or a big copperhead that is not quite dead! Lol. We would be lost without them, and pay people to cook food for them when we go away! Later, Mike

@mcicchino, for a couple of years I fed my two dogs the prey model diet-- raw meat, bones, and organs. I actually bought goats and sheep for them, and butchered them myself. We bought a freezer just for dog food, lol. When the price of red meat became prohibitive, and my goat supply ran dry, I had to switch them back to kibble. But during hunting season friends will sometimes give us scraps from their harvest, and I will supplement the kibble with fresh elk or venison. The things we do for our pets, lol.

I have a 110 pound German Shepherd and he is a big sweetie…unless someone tries to hurt his family (one of us). He is very protective and loyal…and incredibly smart. He is the first one to greet me as I walk in after a long day with unqualified acceptance…I don’t know what I would do without him. He is 9 years old so starting to slow down a bit and have a little bit of hip trouble but hoping he will be around for a lot longer.

Nice @BloodRoot my wife had a shepherd when we first met first time I saw him I think I had to change my draws lmfao
He was 110 lbs also and his back was 4 feet off the ground so his head was almost at eye level
But he was a big sweetie too
He’s gone now but we will always remember him
