Promix Sunshine #4 , Nature’s of God # 4 , it’s a good balance of medium on the market to choose from to be honest , it’s really up to you , but get you a brand and learn to master you’re water ph in that soil mix , cause most likely your tap will be consistent at that ph level , but once you get familiar with a brand it makes your start that much more easier . Here is an example , I build my soil with dry fertilizer right so I get a medium with micorhyzea in it with a good balance of peat moss cause peat moss has silica in it naturally for your seedlings stalk strength and growth but I add happy frog 
fertilizer 5-8-4 with light warrior soil , this way you want need any grow nutrients in early veg , just used some good kelp or seaweed extract and a bit calmag or molasses and that would get your seedlings through veg or until you transplant , my other mix which is extremely better I just discovered is Promix Sunshine #4 michoryhzae with BioLive 5-4-2 is way better starter mix for your babies on a 6/2 man they grow so fast and healthy , after week 4 I give them a liter of they first nutrient feed right at 5.8 -6.0 and 850 ppm and get ready to train , snip or whatever you gone do , cause in 3-5 days they will sprout like crazy 
, and I used ph seaweed extract with 2.5 ml of fish shit or Alaska Fish and they go ham , third feeding they at 1100 and growing like a dam weed , but just experiment with different soils until you get that mix that you like with the best results, not my results , again I’m just a rookie like you trying to learn the art !

Nothing to brag about , but just an example of the results I’m getting with the Lil simple methods I’m doing to make things much easy .
They finally has a one part nutrient that supposed to do exactly what Advanced Nutrients does except its just one bottle , verses 11 total or 7 like with Remo , Mike buddy that fell out over business and now Patton they own nutrients which is similar base I believe .
The big plant is a Gorilla Glue #4 , it’s 4 weeks above ground and the other bigger one is the sonic screwdriver , but the first set of fan leaves is 4 fingers like it’s going to a special education plant for the short bus smokers ? Damn! The Skywalker OG I sprout it straight in a one gallon and it just broke ground a few days ago and the zweetletooth her there is rooting good , I like her characteristics already and her just spit out her very first two signature leaves 
, but it’s definitely taking root , but I can just tell from the Skywalker OG in the one gallon will take off viciously in the next 2 weeks cause it has plenty of room to root , but the zweetletooth , I’m gone transplant her to her final pot in a 3 gallon with the others all at the same time 
, hoping I can at least stunt this GG4 a bit so the others can catch up , trying to scrog all 4 under the same screen which if I don’t get the first screen over them once they mainlined , and topped , I’ll have to see who or which might can catch up once they in the final pots , but hopefully I can slow this gg4 down cause it’s on a serious fast move , I hope it’s no auro cause it’s a dispensary seed out a batch from Revolution Gardening facility which they have they own seed bank they can pull from to grow , which they final product always looks better than the other 3 competition , but my own plant I just finished was still a hard hitter gg4 than the dispensary and I cut the revegging time short is what hurt the final yield but hey the plants was a gift , did not cost me nothing, they came to me potted up sick , I just loved on them gave them some good light and good drink and that one she showed out big time and now seeing her sister from seed go ham , it’s a must I clone and breed this one most definitely for my pheno cross hunt , so I got one already for sure is Gorilla Glue #4 , with a good indica and strawberry cough to see what kind of seeds that would make to germinate , fun fun to come.
So i realized the PPM was way high on my plants - over 4K…I flushed them down to just under 2K and they are now showing signs of flowering and growing like crazy! Learn as I go! Purchased the Black Gold soil and will use it in my next batch. The ILKG seeds are not producing anything however so I did send a request to cust service for more info on this. None of the 5 have sprouted (2 probably my fault I didn’t soak them just planted them directly in soil). Thanks all for your input, very helpful.
