This will wake your ass Up - Grow room heart blockage

As a few of you know was working on the grow room this holiday weekend, moving Plants doing my Annual clean and buff and repair all the broken stuff - Had a box of ribs on the Grill Monday and just chiling out-
Felt wierd every time I was moving around - (Im 50yrs old - Played Real hard - and have a stressful company i run.

Did a Take down harvest 10 days ago and been drying out, decide this run to use these grow pots, so was mixing up 5 blocks of COCO with some vermiculite and just fillin pots, Jammin the stereo and moving the ladies into there new home.

Felt like hell all day - Pressure in the chest, thought it was from the SW Florida heat and the bottle of vodka I drank the night before. Then all hell broke loose
Went over to the ER Tuesday Morning at 9:20 Am and was moved up to the cardiac Unit ASAP - Then by 11:00 was moved to the main hospital downtown, Was in the Evaluation ward all day with more stuff hooked up to me then you can imagine, Wednesday went in for a Cardio Test where they send a wire up you and die your heart valves and supply lines.
((yes by this time scared as hell))
While on the table i got the news [Widow Maker} 95% blocked - heart only getting about 40% of the blood and supply it needs.
Next thing you know its game on, Within two hours of laying in the Card lab they had tested me, Put in two bridges and a Massive Stent.
Yesterday I was home by 3:30 pm and yes i watered my own plants last night!
— Reason for this post -
if you are over the age of 45 and you have not done a full cardio work up you are as STUPID as i was, I came as close to being dead as you can, I would l have left a 16 and a 14 yr old and a ton of employee’s screwed!
Do a full work up - die test all of it - I was lucky i caught it with minutes to spare - I just want to spread the word that we males are not invincible. This widow maker thing is real - takes out a bunch of us every year.
So if this post can save a few growers in the world - I have done my job, pay it forward, Going to be a long rehab and a huge change of life, but heck have to be thankful I am able to post here

Happy to hear that all ended well. I’m 63 and at our age we need to stay on top of our health.

Glad you pulled through.

Glad to hear you caught it in time. I had three stents placed the heart arteries in 2005. Had been having chest pains for several years that was always resolved by antacids and time and everyone thought it was gastro (doctors included). After those stents, never another ripple of that pain whatsoever. Hang in there, take care of your self and grow on!!

Hope all is well @StormTrooperweed

I took it real easy for a good six months after my stents but I completed the cardiac rehab program which gave me confidence that my ticker could still take some stress.

I began walking several miles a day and graduated to hiking every single 4000’ mountain in Maine in the two years after my heart attack. All miles hiked solo (foolish) and I got stoned in some of the most beautiful spots on Earth. Live for today Brother.
