This a calcium defiency? Question about salt build up also

You can. No worries on taste. Just do not make it a habit.

Question on order of mixing nutes. I thought it went silica, base nutes, then calmag, then additives. Would bloom booster like beastie blooms be considered a base nutrient? I just read it goes calmag base nutes, then additives. Just woundering if im doing it wrong

Unless your nutrients state different. The rule of thumb is:
1 silica first (if used), 2 cal/mag, 3 base and supplements, 4 ph solution.

If not using silica , the same order? I been doing base nutes then cal mag.

Thats probably why ive been having these problems fml

Yes, I thinks Jacks recommends mixing the cal/mag after the base. I think they do this because their base has calcium and you mix it first anyway, and the additional would just be a calcium booster.
Otherwise it best to put the calcium in the water first in order to set up it’s hardness. Then add the base, and then supplements. This will prevent anything from separating before it is delivered to the plant’s roots.

I noticed i always have problems when i add calmag. My first grow i never added calmag just lime and had very little problems. Thanks for the info though

Liquid cal/mag can be hard to mix. I fill a solo cup about 2/3 up with some of the RO. Then stir in the cal/mag, stir like hell with a stir stick. Then put this back in the water first.

Thanks for the info man. So if silica it doesnt go silica , base nutes then, cal mag? Still silica, calmag, base nute, additives?

Yes, the latter.

@Ickey has you covered. I would mention adding PK boosters can overload PK if you don’t adjust the base nutrient dosage :love_you_gesture:

Ive always done grows the same way, i never had this issue. I flushed then used jacks 321 just to see if it was my nutes or something. But it just progressed more.

Could this be a root problem or disease?

This is why, that I am becoming hesitant to give advice on nutrient deficiencies or excess. I find myself in over my head very quickly. And after reading back through this thread, it appears that we have been missing the mark. But I will not give on trying to help, until you give up on me.
After checking out your resent pictures. It appears that they are showing signs of potassium, magnesium, and iron deficiencies. Also it looks like signs of excess calcium, and this excess can cause a lockout of the first three.

Thank you man, im just really done with this grow. So stessful when you cant correctly diagnose a plant. So it all started when i gave the plant its first flowering dose in week 3. If that helps any. But i will look more into calcium excess. I realized one of the trios i had looked bad. But i didnt use it. I used the other two but they all came together. But i figured jacks would of solved the problem after a flush. But i didnt wait a week to feed because i was in the most important week of week 4. So i just said fuck it. It needs the nutrients now. Im just trying to diagnose it for if it ever happens again but if i ever do flush again i will defiently wait at least till the next watering to feed.

But honestly that would make sense. I think you may possibly be right. I never used calmag my first grow and i only had a slight calmag defiency. Do you know if pellet lime comes out after a flush by chance?

I would think that the pelletized lime would take a few flushes to remove. But since it is time released, it may not overload like the liquid cal/mag. You may just drop the cal/mag for the remainder of this grow.
I have made the mistake of using lime and liquid cal/mag during the same grow, and couldn’t figure out why the harvest just about half as before. After learning about the effects of excessive calcium, I put 2 & 2 together, figured that excess calcium was the problem. Since then I have learned to monitor the vertical growth of the plants, during veg and the first half of flower. If it slows or stops I will look for an excess first. The first sign of a lot of excesses is a slow down in vertical growth.
Your next grow will be so much easier, when you will be running Jacks the whole way. A well balanced nutrient schedule, that doesn’t over feed or load your soil up with salt is so nice to work with.
Please, organic growers I am not putting down organics here. I was growing with organics, and was doing very well for the first couple grows. Then I started listening to those that said to feed at half strength, and I started worrying about the amount of salts in the run off. The results of this reduction in nutrients was some unhappy looking plants. So next I thought that I could piece mill the needed nutrients, and ended up just going from one deficiency to another. During this time I had ordered a small starter kit of Mills Nutrients for a hydro grow that I was planning. Out of aggravation, I switched the organic grow to the Mills at the start of the third week of flowering. The Mills put the grow back on track, and it finished strong with a good yield. Mills is like Jacks just mix the three parts, and then ph it and feed.

Thank you man i have r.o water but i stopped using it. My buddy uses general hydro in soil and doesnt even use calmag but his light is weaker than mine. I almost wanna just add pellet lime and not add any calmag at all. I didnt add any my first grow and i almost had 0 problems with fox farm feeding schedule. Im honestly scared to do the jacks now, i figured using jacks and r.o water would of fixed it. So im doing general hydroponics in soil and advanced nutes on the other half. Whichever goes better im gonna go with. Im just confused on which feeding schedule to use on the GH for soil. I wanted to do the main 3 base nutes, and the 2 that adds aroma and flavor and beastie blooms. Praying to god it goes well

:point_up_2: dolomite lime helps with stabilizing the soil PH. Do you water or feed to run off each time and check the PH and PPMs? Not doing so will create root zone issues from salts accumulating and locking out nutrient absorption and most often crashing the PH :love_you_gesture:
