I have found that the cleanest presses come about 2 to 4 weeks post harvest after drying. Youre going after trichomes,not plant material. Also rh between 50% and 60%. The longer your flower ages, the darker your concentrate will be. Thats for pressing. Now, if youre decarbing and infusing, youll want to allow your bud to cure a little longer so you get less chlorophyll in your infusion.

Hope all the growmies and squishers are well…meant to post these a while ago (SOP these days is ~m until both plates are ~190, then pre-pressed naked pucks or stuffed bags go on and I press slowly as resistance gives periodically and until maxed out and/or the flows stop which is ~4-6+m total):

Very nice…how is that stuff compared to squished flower? Do you vape, smoke, or decarb and eat it? Love the texture of the ball. This auto I squished a while ago turned into one of the crumbliest I’ve done:
I though about trim in the past but I grow less than the legal limit and more than enough these days so it seemed excessive even the large amounts I go through (folks would be very upset with me for how much trim I compost…Wish I could donate some anonymously to some locals like ptsd veterans/abuse victims/etc.).

Honestly as long as the trim is being used in some way and not just wasted i see no issue. Not thay i have a right to tell you what to do with your plant. Lol
And personally i like presed kief better. Smooth and still gets me to this day even with a tolerance. I havent pressed fresh flower yet though so i will keep you updated on next harvest!
