The Perfect Press💧

Man you are right about that. I made a bunch one time and the guy I was making it for wanted it rinsed down hard. It takes all the color out of the hash, turns it all blonde makes it consistent throughout. BUT it washes all the deliciousness out of it, and it all just tastes like hash. This little bit is mine so I didn’t rinse any of it much so all the beautiful BlackWidow flavor is still in there., its like a strong floral flavor that sets up in your mouth…its freakin wonderful

No i use 90micron bags. Bob took it off his drying rack , i diont check the rh you can tell, some times if i go to soon ill get some watery residue. This morning the rosin had changed to more af a wax. Iput 2.5 g in a farm to vape so we can fill carts

So ive figured out why some of my presses were coming out oily and non collectable. RH… buds were too “wet” and i was storing in my shop where temps get 80 to 90… i moved everything outta grove bags into mason jars and added a broveda pack and let em sit for a week indoors un the house. Came back and repressed and everything is GOLDEN!

Thanks for that valuable lil nugget of info.
I’ve been running into a similar thing with 1 jar of some older stuff but mine was in the jar since the start.
They did seem more moist than some others I’ve tried.

Ive found that high 50s is good. Then stick it in the freezer or get a cold plate and thatll help even more.

Peyton Pie from Underworld Genetics…

Had issues pressing before because RH was too high. Got that fingered out, first time i was able to collect 100% off paper. 25% return.

Ive had folks ask how i use coffee filters to press… heres a lil tutorial.

Preheat 1 to 2 min, press slow, hold, press slow, hold, ect…

Very few blowouts and the blowouts i have no plant matter gets on the dab and is very easily removed. I dont allow the paper to hang out of the rear. Remove paper and puck as one unit. Puck will peel off paper. Just take your time and wallah!

Thats 2 layers of coffee filter correct ? What micron woul you compare that to ? Very very interesting and I may not have a 90 micron but I do have a couple hundred coffee filters…lol…

Just one @rightaway. As far as micron? These are probably 20 microns, so squishing i guess itd be closer to 40 ?

I dont see very much about psi being discussed.
as i just bought a lil 5 ton press, I’m trying to get the hang of stuff, but from all the different sources i see so many different opinions and than there’s these equations based on the square feet an yada yada… it’s starting to get to me, i had to shut it off for the night cuz i was just blowing through trim and a chunk of hash that i barely got crap from cuz idk what I’m doin.
ive tried about all the different things i can find, very little as far as psi goes and i guess im just not fully comprehending every single aspect of this like i want to. throw me some tips.

I’m not sure if i just got a crap press or what, so the plates are 2x4,
i got 37 and 50 micron 2x4 filter baggies because i planned to stick mostly with hash pressing. I’ll be getting 90 micron soon but for now i can just use wax paper with no baggies
it seems as though even using hash, most of the wax stays stuck to the micron filter bag or doesn’t come out an even turning it inside out doesn’t help,
so i stuck to just the wax with no micron filter, I’ve gotten maybe a quarter gram of wax so far an went through probably a half oz of trim just testing different times and temps and psi. but its the psi im struggling the most with as far as finding any real info on

Wax paper?? Gotta use parchment. What temps have you tried and how long have you pressed? I’ve never pressed hash, but I have pressed dry sift. Low temps. Long presses.

What have you tried so far?
