One advantage of photoperiod plants is you can take cuttings off them and keep that particular plant growing for years. This means if you really like that strain, you can keep growing it by taking cuttings. The cuttings will produce the exact same flower with the same taste and smell.

If you take cuttings from autoflowers the cuttings usually flower straight away and you can’t keep the same plant going for years.

If you take cuttings from a photoperiod, do it before you flip the plant to flower and make sure the cuttings are growing well before flipping the original plant. If you take cuttings when the plant is flowering it stresses the plant.
