2 of my plants have halted for a little over a week now. I should be defoliateing for better air flow already however I am debating if I should only because they don’t seem to be very happy at the moment. Shall i wait for them to start growing again or shall i go for it an defoliate some to help with better air flow. Maybe then they may start up again!? Need advice please. Kindly appreciated! @VaHillbilly @SilvaBack203
They look kind of droopy. Are you watering them to often maybe? I’m not a fan of defoliation.
They have been acting up lately and as @VaHillbilly suggested it may have something to do with my VPD that has been out of wack lately. I was always very consistent with VPD but when plants started maturing at diffent rates i got off track. So i will go back to a lower range somewhere around 140 and see if that helps. Between VPD and a bit of overwatering as you suggested @Dexterado has caused a huge gap in the growth of my plants that were all planted the same day. Mostly my fault i’m sure. Next grow if all works out as expected, i will choose a better medium to help with better drainage. I purchased coco coir and have started washing and buffering. Hoping @pr will get back to me when he’s available and explain what is the best method for washing and preparing coco. However i am in no rush, its for my next grow.
I personally try when changing anything to only change one variable at a time sometimes it takes a few days to get a response sometime even longer. And if growing different strains, stages, and heights will get complicated fast. But I have faith in you friend they are more resillent than one would think and can bounce back from far worse. You got this and if you have questions ask, only way to learn after all. Peace and Happy Growing to ya friend.
As always, truly appreciative of your time and advice! Blessings!!
How many weeks into flower? Cannabis stops growing new foliage after several weeks into flower and begins focusing on ripening flower. It looks like she is at that point.
Those 2 stragglers are 2weeks in flower going on 3 this Friday.
They stopped responding about a week ago.
They were making great progress producing buds at a nice pace and then i watered till run off and i suppose the soil should have not been watered that day.
I could have waited another day or two but i was being impatient because i should have been already feeding them nutrients but was givin poor advice which made me feed and water them much sooner than needed.
I was thinking if they growing so qickly i should feed them so that they can produce more even more!!
Rookie move!
It wasn’t an extreme overwatering but it was enough to upset them.
Also my VPD settings were to high. Because i have many plants maturing on different schedule, i let my VPD settings stay on higher-end for the more mature plants instead of keeping on the lower end for the less mature plants.
So as you can see, i made a few errors in my part that i can admit were bad decisions.
They have all the reason to be fussy. I haven’t been treating them right, i’ll admit.
I have 3 others that are beautifully coming along and i am proud of them and myself for bringing them thus far.
I’m thinking mine could be in this stage, last few days she seems to have slowed down a little bit, but bud sites definitely seem to be trying to mature
This is the main cola about 3/4 days ago and then this morning when woke up, so definitely something happening, but I’m not seeing much with the leaves so I think I’m also in this stage you speak of, the only thing the fans do now is tell me if she needs a drink or not don’t see any growth in them at all now
I always worried about this doing different strains! That’s why half way through the grow I chucked them all outside except the forbidden runtz I’m spending more time on her so I left her in the tent, the next run I’ll be doing theee seeds of the same strain and stay on that route, just makes more sense for my amateur ass
I responded on the " dry bud" thread i think it was. Im far from being an expert on coco. This recent harvest of super skunk and critical mass, was my first go, with the coco.. Nothing i do is the norm or textbook!.
Thanks for responding sorry i missed it. I’ll have to go back and check!
They look very similar in colour and appearance brother looking beautiful!
Definitely Sativa dominant.
