Umm, I don’t think its normal to take more than a day or two unless a weekend is involved or they are on holiday. Most (if not all) of them are across the big pond and their vacation time differs from ours. If you’ve sent a message and it’s been week or longer I would send a follow up message. If you don’t get a response after that post and tag me, then i will escalate.
@dbrn32 Thank you! Its been 2 days, so i was just curious about it. All the others look happy and healthy at the moment. I dropped a apple fritter seed in place of the one that didnt grow
No worries! If you don’t hear something by like maybe Tuesday night ping me here.
Everyone is all happy and healthy in the room! The bean i just dropped has sprouted and will break ground this evening i think!
The reality of this apple fritter auto grow has shown me that i can not expect all the seeds to grow and look similar. There are going to be runts and duds from time to time. We are all different, and the seeds/plants are also. Some of us may need a little helping hand to get started. Some of us may be a little more susceptible to changes environment.
So far, my foray into the world of auto flower has been ok. I have been doing alot of reading, and see that autos are finicky, and i can send them into flower with changes.
I have to move these autos to their final homes about an hour away from me. So i will be transporting them in box with no lid, with day light shinging on them during travel.
I do not want to wait to long to repot these, so the roots dont coil up in the cup.
The one i considered the runt out of my Strawberry Cough plants is now wooping ass, and shooting out branches past the big fan leaves! I thought about trimming some of the bigger fan leaves, but my inner Merlin44 scolded me and told me to let it do its thang!
Good job @Strungthru You will not be disappointed.
Oh, no no…You are free to trim or not as it pleases you. I grow the way I do because it works well for me. A great many growers are every bit as successful (if not more so) using very different techniques.
Like my guitar teacher says, “If is sound good, then it is good”.
Edit: I do agree with not taking any leaves at this time.
I am not shy about advising against defoliation (in most cases) but mostly only when folks are asking. The reason for my position is that, in my opinion, too many newer growers (including me) are much too eager to remove those important leaves that power the plant. Calling them “fan leaves” somehow gives them permission to remove them. They are simply large leaves that perform photosynthesis. That is a good thing.
The last bean has fully sprouted!!
That weird top…it turns out i missed completely and just butchered it. So i topped it normal at the same node as the others, and swirled the top in rooting hormones for shits and gigs. Just seeing what may happen.
Today is the last day for these girls in my grow room!
I will be trasporting them to their final home out in the country. Where they will reside in a cellar that is buried half way into a hillside, and stays close to 60°F in it! There will still be an added oil filled heater and fans.
It is almost my setup, but on a larger scale. Two of my lights, 8 self watering bases and fabric pots,
Awe are you going to miss them!? Lol
Yes! I wish i could see them grow everyday like my kids
Speaking of which, they fit real nice in a little Hugs drink box!
I’m pretty sure you’ll get pics of the step kids
I off set them in the pots because i am not topping these. Im going to trying and bend them over the middle of the pot to save space for the older folks. It’s fun to see their faces light up seeing what they have to work with now!! The one older farmer dude is thrilled and asking a million questions! Im thankful to have you all! I would direct them to here, but the one doesnt own a cell phone, and the other has a flip phone that looks like an old Motorola
It’s too early in the day to be out of likes!
I hope you have a great day @Strungthru
I love the ILGM team! They are sending out a replacement seed for the one that didnt germinate!!
Do it right next time
